Every week, during the summer, a DJ at KVRX picks an artist to play for an whole hour; Saturday August 6th was my turn and I picked New Zealand's own The Phoenix Foundation. Founded in the late 90's and debuting as a full band by 2001, The Phoenix Foundation are a perfect blend of psych, glam and early Beach Boys. With over 7 full length LPs and two EPs, The Phoenix Foundation has been this DJ's favorite for a long, long time. We span a good coverage of their discography; so crack open a coconut and get ready for some upbeat, quirky jams!
