Another one that we didn't do this time around for AGD. I really like this song for what it could become in the 'real" studio. Maybe next time...

She Moved Me

A song from the Outspoken sessions at London Bridge Studio in Seattle. Lyrics never finished. This was a tune, like Bitter Shovel , that I had written for my previous band Feeding The Machine, that I never wrote lyrics for, so the singer could make it his own. It was in the hat to finish for the AGD (AvantgardeDog) recordings but i never finished it either..not saying that I still won't. It's still missing the second guitar part so it sounds a bit weird. There's still another good one out there we called "Jack Tripper" that I have to find, that Chris the singer from Flaw, Five Bolt Main gave me the main riff and I wrote the rest..

Here's one we worked on back in the Outspoken days, Couldn't get David to write lyrics so I stole my own lyrics from another Feeding The Machine song called "We Separate" that was basically two parts, the latter part having all the verse lyrics for this song.  All the noise you hear is Shaun's bad guitar cable, and it's the only thing that made this song good! This song will never see the light of day outside of soundcloud... and you'll hear why.. HA!

Doormat

When I went to Nashville my friend Bob Gross, (who I knew a little from my hometown in Michigan, who was a singer, who had moved to Nashville) and his lovely wife Jess cordially put me up for almost a year, so I could get my Nashville feet wet. I found myself sitting around and waiting for "someone" who liked to disappear for weeks at a time that I was writing with. Bob was in a Christian Rock band that was pretty successful over sea's called STIR. They were getting ready to do a tour of South America , Bob and I were writing together anyway, which is what musicians do, i suppose, and asked me to play guitar. So we rehearsed and wrote new songs. Unfortunately, the tour didn't happen due to Military action at the time. It wasn't safe. But Bob, and I had a blast writing and recording some songs. They are rough, but who cares? everytime i listen to them I smile. 

93rd Times The Charm

This is Feeding The Machine doing an Extreme cover made for a fan based tribute CD back in the early 90's. I had just gotten my first computer ever, was running Sonic Foundry Vegas software and did the whole thing in my house. We did it kinda they way they did it live incorporating some Jesus Christ Superstar excerpts but also along with a little  "Cynical" from Waiting For The Punchline, and "Who Cares" and "Rise and Shine" from III Sides To Every Story. Once again, we had fun.

The first song I wrote when I entered the era of new technology. circa 1994. This is also my first attempt at electronic music. It has a cool lyric. " I've got a mouthful of freedom and a head full of slaves." I always liked that...

Feeding the Machine. The best band, with the worst recordings...hey, we were young..trying to take on the world, doing it ourselves with the help of a few friends working for nothing. but we meant it! 1992..I love this song.
