You wake up, looking at the sun
Then you realise that this day has begun
The  mood that strikes you
It makes you aware
There are obstacles , hidden out there

The old lady  enjoys her time in the sun
She only walks   she never runs
It give her time to reflect on the what's  around......and gone

This young man going to take on the world
He has a plan,  so what could go wrong
But Will he heed advise from those   that who've gone before
Yeah the ones who've gone before

The young girl
Wonders why the world is so cruel
And questions,  can she make a change
She writes a letter  , to her God
Asking please let me be strong 

There is a journey she knows  has to make
And she knows it will cause her pain
But she's willing , inside her soul to try
like those who've .....gone before
like the many , who've gone before 

Help me right all  of these wrongs

He sits still and ruefully wonders what he has done
Contemplation on the journey , that has been faced
The old man smiled within
He watches as the children play

I’ll soon be gone

Reflections

Influenced by the catch phrase used by TV series from back in the day. I wanted to make it lighthearted lyrically

The door is open , I can see through that crack
The T V eye has hinted
That  the hero  may not be .....coming back
But you hold your breath 
That it's squeezing on your chest
Will he pay the consequences
For trying to overcome his quest

It's like an addiction
But ¹ppop it feels, you have no control
You are part of the story
So be prepared for a white knuckle ride
Get behind the sofa
It might be the best place to hide

As he survives  another episode

Same time , same place

A song that came together in an afternoon after lunch with the wife and a couple of friends. The chorus was swirling around in my head all the time we were at lunch

A Christmas Themed song, I won't be the first, I won't be the last but we all hope that one day the message will get through
