An excerpt from an impromptu late night jam with King David on Decatur Street in the French quarter October 16, 2024. This was after Daniel McKenna and I played our usual 3 hour set and were later joined by Noah Stone; I don’t know if you (the person reading these very words) can relate, but playing an instrument is not very easy, let alone doing it for 3 hours, AND putting your entire mind body and soul into every single note (or at least striving to do so) can be an incredibly taxing endeavor on a mere human being, and this explanation accounts for any perceived “sloppiness” heard in this audio artifact. That and accumulative intoxication via various chemical agents. But hey, that’s just New Orleans for ya’, flawed humans full of pain and love, expressing it all through music. Herein is a little slice of just that in all of it’s unbridled mediocre brilliance!
