CRAZY COMPASS planet band - Домик для совы / Owl House

This piece consists little gesture to keep it intimate. The ending is a bit "Mahler-isch" to make the ending as long as possible. At 2.02 and 2.10 you hear a so called "Trugschluss" (deception). It is a well known trick to postpoon the end-chord with a chord that goes a complete other direction as you would expect. It gives a lot of tension....

I am delighted to release this live recording of Friday's Song performed by the very talented pianist and composer Joseph Haspel @joseph-haspel .   His performance has really brought the music to life with a nuanced, sensitive and emotional interpretation.  I am very grateful to Joe for the time, dedication and energy he gave to this piece.  Thank you so much Joe.

I would also like to thank Joe for all the support he has given over the years I have been active on Soundcloud.  But most importantly, I want to highly recommend his own compositions.  They are among the best of new music that I have discovered here or elsewhere.  So, I strongly encourage you to explore his works at @joseph-haspel .   And if you are like me, it took some time to learn his musical language, but like any great composer, learning their language is well worth it.

As always, thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy Joe's wonderful performance.

Friday's Song performed by Joseph Haspel

Here is a song I have written in the classic smooth jazz style. I have left it incomplete, it could use some other melody and harmony lines woven through and a solo at 2.25. I have made it downloadable so that you can add any parts you want. Do whatever you want with it, but please give me a credit in the description, a link to my page and let me know, so that I can listen and repost.
I can also make it available without vocal or vocal harmonies, if anyone fancies singing it.
If anyone would like to give me stems to add, I can mix into a communal track for a final version ; )  
It is in C generally with some dips into G. It is in 12/8 at 142 bpm. I have loaded in mpeg rather than my usual wave file, to facilitate collaboration, but can make a high quality wave file available.
