what always amazed me was that Michael would wait till the very last threads of the record and start mixing. ( no one does that by the way ) he always did it flawlessly though. such a master. people don't realize today what a talent came before them.

I owe him for my love of amazing music. Loved playing this and hearing BT....takes me back in time.

I just heard the news of his passing. He was a legend in the Houston dance scene and his contribution is immeasurable.

What a blast from the past & so sorry to hear of his passing. I was watching/listening to Mikey spin waaay back in the NRG days but mostly at Xcess after that. Was there 2-3 nights a week for HOURS & he got very used to my face because it was jammed into the booth every time he dropped yet another new track (1st time I ever heard St. Che's '(Be My) Power Station'). He graciously obliged every time, never met a kinder DJ in my entire life...couldn't be a more fitting last name! Last time I saw & talked to him was at SOME around 94 I think (moved to Austin not long after that). I had never been in & decided to check it out & was pleasantly surprised he was there. Hadn't been "80's clubbing" in years at that point but he remembered my face. Distinctly recall him spinning some Meat Beat Manifesto that night, God OD.  Turned out to be my last "real" H-town style dance club night ever, actually. R.I.P to a true Houston legend. ❤️
