This is an instrumental demo song from my animated rock opera - A Very Viking Christmas. I wanted to see how fast I can write and record a full album with storyline and character development, as well as 3D animate, render, and edit everything together into a full length movie.  The answer is 5 months.

A Very Viking Christmas Teaser Trailer

I made this track for one of the Evenant composing exercises. I like the way it turned. 

This track killed my computer pretty bad because I had a weird idea for a vocoder return track, and I made a cool water/wind morph device. These effects were used on quite a few nested busses and even the master (I know, I know...). If I use this trick again, I will definitely figure out a more convenient routing process - probably resampling, vocoding/morphing, then resampling again or freezing. Instead of sitting at 100% CPU and a 2048 sample buffer.

A hybrid orchestral dubstep/midtempo song written for an action movie fight scene. Buckle up, this is about to get real!

This song was written as a dynamically building boss fight with piano that triggers randomly to sound slightly improvised. I focused on ambience and let the melody take a backseat, it still ended up with a pretty strong melody.

Ambient sound effects building into retro-futuristic synthwave cyberfunk.

This song is controllable in FMOD with multiple lead layers - the main melody based off the first motif, and a countermelody based off a complementing motif. They are in FMOD as phrases, so they can dynamically turn off and on while letting the reverb tail complete. No ugly crossfades!

Shade Runner 2042

I wrote a program in Python that randomly creates metal guitar riffs using some basic music theory. This is what it wrote.

I did the drums, mixing, and the arrangement, but all guitar parts were randomly generated using Python. None of the guitar was re-recorded, it was inputted into VST and simulated directly from MIDI.
