Two of the most earnest techno acts in the scene, ARTBAT links up with Matador and his RUKUS imprint for their debut collaboration 'Apollo 11' - a direct and out of this world two-tracker named after the first successful moon landing.

The Kiev-based duo and the Irish DJ-producer have handed the title-track over to Mixmag ahead of the record's release on March 15. With its driving rhythmic elements, vigorous pads and lively arpeggiator breakdown, 'Apollo 11' is a tune that has gotten nothing but an ebullient reaction from dancefloors all around the globe.

Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula (aka Yotto) caught our imaginations alight with his stellar debut album ‘Hyperfall’ last September, charting as a No. 1 Dance/Electronic album on Billboard and earning support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Eric Prydz, and many other heavyweights in the dance world. The next chapter sees an acclaimed host of producers add their own sound to the ‘Hyperfall’ story.

‘Hear Me Out’ receives separate remixes from Mobilee Records head Anja Schneider and Berlin producer Kevin de Vries to open proceedings. Schneider incorporates the sublime vocals of Laudic to full effect over a driving bass groove, whilst De Vries’s adapts the original's bright melodies to his characteristic techno style.

German artists Monkey Safari and Ruede Hagelstein build on Yotto’s original brooding arrangement for ‘Turn It Around’ in contrasting fashions; Monkey Safari adding a trademark sunshine sheen of bubbly arpeggios, while Ruede Hagelstein’s ‘Rise Again’ remix places mechanised vocoders atop a menacing bassline.

‘Kantsu’ receives a minimal reinterpretation from Parisian electro artist Chloé, while SØNIN captures the understated euphoria of ‘The One You Left Behind’ through an inventive club re-work.

We welcome back Sean & Dee to the label with their new single 'Sea Turtle' featuring remixes from Andy King and Mila Journée. 

The plucky Italian duo had a great 2019 with tracks signed to Outta Limits and Natura Viva among others and struck gold with a Beatport top 10 for FSOE UV. Their single-minded dedication to progressive music is also winning them many high-profile fans, and we very much expect their sonic journey to take a massive upswing this year. 

'Sea Turtle' is essential dancefloor weaponry. Upbeat and musical, the thundering kicks ushering in a mammoth tune. With bass fully engaged, the sonics begin; twisted sweeps, an epic pad and rhythm line, and later, acid, all working together to create a warm and inviting playground in your mind. Andy King opts for a deeper rendition, cooling down the originals epic overtones and focusing on the emotional content for those earlier warm up moments. While MIla Journée strips the original right back and recreates a chugging tribal prog remix that grows into an epic masterpiece.

An inspired collaboration which delivers more than the sum of its parts.

Innellea and Kevin De Vries have both broken through in the past couple of years, pushing distinctive, high-energy sounds for the floor. On the ‘Hoffnungsschimmer’ EP, the colourful tones of Innellea’s synth work and Kevin’s hard-hitting drama are a perfect match, resulting in three diverse and unique creations. ‘Das Licht’ and ‘Mondfinsternis’ are both euphoric, peak-time efforts full of stirring elements and forward motion.
