Frank Savio - Poltergeist (Gowzer Remix) [PURRFECTION]

Dutch producer and DJ Reinier Zonneveld is racking up accolades about as fast as new fans are losing their shit to his far reaching beats. Having already released on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label and the ever-influential Traum Schalplatten, Zonneveld’s latest, an EP titled Rushchamber, is out on the increasingly important Stil Vor Talent, an imprint run by tastemaker Oliver Koletzki.

The 3-track EP captures the variation Zonneveld is known for and kicks off with “Sharp Bust,” a careening, pure techno number with detuned horns and whirring rushes. The titular track 2, “Rushchamber,” weaves in groovier house influences in the beat, and “Flatchat” levels off somewhere in the middle. The collection reflects the wide palate that Zonneveld, who was raised on classical music, brings to the studio.

Daraus entstehen eigentlich die meisten Ideen – jeder Produzent kennt das.“ Entstanden sind die Werke im seinem Kopf, danach werden diese Ideen im Studio ausgearbeitet. „Auf meinem Studiorechner lagern wahrscheinlich über 100 angefangene Projekte." The EP begins in stunning fashion with title track ‘Space’, driven by stirring vocal effects that build up tremendously, later giving way to a punchy acid-laced climax. ‘South’ follows, a low-end tour de force. ‘Answer’ is already familiar to fans after it featured on DCR368 Live from Loveland and the track is a rousing peak-time weapon propelled by subterranean stabs. ‘Encke’ is deliciously mind-bending, led by heavy bass and distorted effects, before ‘Module’ follows providing a groovier, but no less powerful contrast.

After is a small summer hiatus Floorfiller Music is back with its most anticipated release to date. Techno virtue Joyhauser delivers an astonishing new track with two remixes. One by a techno legend and one by a true Drumcode revelation: Marco Bailey & Kevin de Vries.

The original track evokes with a busting kick, blipping 303 stabs and a deep rumbling sub-bass. An emotional synth chord sets sail and not much later leads into the key element of the track: a spooky dark melody line from somewhere out of space. The track falls in utter darkness again. Sharp compressed percussion shatters rhythmically on top of the unrelenting bouncing kick. This is truely a dancefloor killer for every time of the night.

Marco Bailey's rendition is much more straightforward. A bonking kick and acid line take you in right away. Supporting the mesmerizing 303 is the endless synth-chord from the original. This repetitive mayhem is later accompagnied by sharp resounding snare rolls and hard hitting percussion. The acid pattern get's more and more aggressive and everything eventually culminates in a resonance driven climax.

Kevin de Vries signature sound is heard very clearly in his take of Bad Generator. He takes the melodic components of the track and sculpts them into an epic trance lead line. Feelings of devotion emerge when this note-pattern is heard. The drop seems to leave nothing more to be desired but eventually the track leads the listener beautifully into its last final act, only wanting more.

A power packed anthem, Rising uses an undulating bassline to map out rhythmic patterns, while looming synths add a raw feel to the overarching melody.

Title track Running unveils an arpeggio-heavy construction, as drum sequences build up an abstract melody, in a nervous rhythm that moves through a cavernous space brimming with sonic flares and distant synth echoes.

Metodi Hristov rewires Running, administering a dose of rolling, groove-driven electro to this unapologetically compelling slice of techno. The artist operates frenzied percussion and irregular synth layers that all come together in unison for repeated, slow burning yet effective breakdowns.

Finally I did my own release, I wrote  "Rising Heart" and "Craving Desire"  before all the corona happened. Unfortunately I could not test it out on the dancefloor due to the circumstances we are all in. But I hope you will like it. 
„Love frequency 528 HZ„ is an ambient track , created during the lockdown, where I used the healing frequency of 528 HZ - maybe it is good to meditate on it. We all need to calm our thoughts and fears and I wanted to create some ambient music on my ep as well as it expresses my state of mind in that period of time.
