After his first record “Alamogordo/The Optimist“, Flood is back on Hanover’s “Kein Rauch Ohne Feuer“ label with his second EP. Following the heavy, hard-hitting debut, the new record now explores a more 80s-inspired sound between italo disco and electronic body music that despite its playfulness doesn’t lack the clarity and straightforwardness of Flood’s older productions. While the energetic title track, centered around catchy synth lines and Dave Gahan-esque vocals, grows into a mesmerizing tribute to the glamourous, fun side of dance music, ,“Digitalpakt“ takes a turn to the darker side: Punchy drums, a sinister bassline and estranged vocal bits won’t fail to move your body.
On the B-Side, Turnland’s Felice then waits with a very pleasant surprise and uses his remix of “Still Want You“ to turn the EP’s title track into a groovy house gem that immediately lets you think of Ibiza sunsets.

First up, Romain FX returns to the cobbler’s kitchen with ‘Neon Train’, plating up some weapons-grade machine grooves, garnished with hypnotic vocals - guaranteed to whet your appetite. GREETINGS follows up this electrifying entree the introduction of the enigmatic ‘Flavio Zoom’, a cosmic search through robust and considered flavours. Newcomer Sam In Space makes a splash with mid-meal workout ‘Aerobic’, charismatic dark disco with an athletic flair. Things take a turn for the sampladelic with the strange and playful mutant funk of ‘Pre Club’ by Club Sausages, before an all-time classic gets an imaginative Italo rework with ‘The Rhythm’ by Black Feeling. Kayroy teams up with Imogen Cygler for a palette cleansing contemplative chugger ‘Eggna’, with dreamy arpeggios building to a dreamy crescendo, before Pleasure Voyage present final course ‘Return’, a fitting sunset synth-pop soundtrack that’s the bittersweet like the perfect negroni.

Working together with your countrymen is a basic rule among melodic business bros - we've learned that over the years. As diligent students, we're always striving to adapt ourselves to these standards and actively searching for talents in close geographical proximity. It ain’t easy, I would say.

Fortunately, Hungarian Papi Yourr has been around for a long time, and we're more than happy that he teamed up with Sobek for two hypnotic dance floor burners. Let’s take a look at each of these masterpieces one by one.

Podcast N° 2 - PCK | Malevolent Demons

"Origami" is a famous Japanese art of folding paper into a decorative figure, and is now also the fruit of the musical collaboration between Barcelona-based producer Ludviq and Australia-based multifaceted Poulper. 

Indeed, born from the recent time spent in the studio by both producers, their new EP testifies to the symbiosis between Bonkers Music´s Ludviq and Quixotical Records´Poulper. Together, they deliver the singles "Origami" and "Crystal Cactus", both tracks blending each producer's quintessential musical wizardry. In their new record, Ludviq´s dark psychedelic slow techno textures meet Poulper´s more atmospheric and deep organic layers, which sounds as enigmatic and thought-provoking as an original Japanese origami. 

After a first successful single release "Cosmovision" via Golden Soul Records in 2022, THISBE Recordings is delighted to release Ludviq & Poulper first collab EP, both on a limited vinyl edition and on all digital platforms. The record also includes remixes by Calypso Records´head Thomass Jackson and French proto house and new beat sensation Kubebe.
