Future City Punks is a collaborative project/duo comprising of DJ/Producers Traxion and Sam In Space, hailing from Melbourne Australia, with a sound that blends indie dance with various disco, electro, punk, and rock influences. Future City Punks creates a unique sonic experience that is new, edgy and infectious.

Their take on Front 242’s gritty, industrial post-punk anthem “Animal: Gate” stays true to the 1993 record whilst adding a chuggy combination of bass and guitar to accentuate the percussive groove of the original. With some explosive drops that will shatter the dance floor, this edit is primed for any arsenal.

With their gritty yet refined style, Future City Punks have several original releases on the horizon and will continue to make their mark on the indie dance scene.

Hamburg-Moenchengladbach-London? Probably not your everyday route. Three pillars in their own leagues team up for "Survivor": Boris Dlugosch, Marc Romboy and C.A.R. on vocal duties. Created in times of lockdowns and standstills "Survivor" is a midtempo stomper, slightly dark yet extra moving. Clocking in at 110 BPM a percussive beat is haunted by C.A.R.'s voice and a hypnotic robot bassline. Occuring melodies and pads do the rest. In Chloé Alexandra Raunet's words: "I'm a survivor. Beyond The Struttosphere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs combining their considerable musical production experience with an insatiable passion for cosmic chugging dark disco.

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. True to its name, the lead track evokes an epic space voyage propelled by driving arpeggiators, chunky layered percussion, high-octane guitar hits and the signature BTS chug bassline.

The tune progresses into a tectonic breakdown heightened by
spacey Juno chords before launching into a dynamite crescendo that burns contrails through the atmosphere.

Remixes are provided by two bastions of the scene: Mexican dark wave star
Vongold introduces lustful celestial vocals into the mix, dialling down the tempo, and repurposing the track into a post-punk acid chugger that takes no prisoners. French dark disco connoisseur Badknife applies his masterful touch with a second remix, cranking up the throb and deploying interstellar synth arrangements that will have you reaching for your seatbelt.

The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come.

The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset.

The EP concludes with ‘Storming Heaven’, a sonically charged acid trip that adventures through the cosmos, guided by a weighty chugging bass, a psychedelic 303 line, tripped out guitar chords and an array of cosmic FX. The tune traverses two mystical breakdowns before ascending into stratospheric planes with a euphoric synth sequence and a staggering guitar solo courtesy of long-time BTS collaborator Stannard Procedure. Hailing from Mexico City, Edd Brave (FREEDL033) is another young Latino talent whose reputation can be found throughout the globe due to his solid works published on vital labels such as Emerald & Doreen, Veneno, Maleante, Logia, and Kyma Komplex. He is finally back to the latter with his first full EP: “Amour Denoche” comes packed with two beautiful originals and four essential remixes made with love by Veltrán (FREEDL050), Ludviq, Super Vatos, and Deenia & Praqqa.

For those not familiar with the catalogue of the rising Mexican imprint, know that Kyma fails to disappoint when it comes to delivering high-quality Indie Dance/Dark Disco cuts – and Edd’s entry is far from breaking such successful string.

Premiered here, “Denoche” is a true zero gravity Disco experience: Groovy, frolic, and acid, the theme develops its magic by delivering a true showcase of Edd’s old-school influences. The icing-on-the-cake vocals by Michelmor cannot go unmentioned.

Head honcho of Belly Dance Services Nick Hanzo unites his talent with Heidenreich and das molekuel, Drehmoment leads us through a trippy journey of deep vocals, massive percussions and psy pads, definitely a great track to start the VA.
With releases on Calypso, Lille based Feines Tier and Hardfist, , together the great Kubebe debuting on Bonkers with “Kenya West” a slow paced banger, with a unique combination of driving synths and mind blowing basslines.
Madrid based JGR & Yahaira, join forces once again to deliver “Galactica Oriental”, bringing some lightness to the compilation, with soft and delightful percussions, driving mind synths and shiny nuances.
Releasing for the second time with us the very talented Anastasia Zems, now based in Lisbon, Portugal, brings “Shadow Theatre” a track that shows a heavy bass line, acid leads, rough vocals and a hypnotic sequence of synths .
Hailing from Madrid, part of Honest Allies the DJ, Producer and Visual artist Lebollet, delivers “Jindama” a Kraut Rock inspired track, with some guitars riffs mixed with a chubby bass line and some organic drums.
“Encantamiento” by Ledi Cannit is a slow pace, Indie Dance track which exudes an enchanting atmosphere, highlighted by vocals that feels like a dark incantation. This piece is a departure from Ledi’s usual style, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The song’s essence leans towards the gloom, casting a mysterious and enigmatic aura.
Head of the label Ludviq, join forces with the amazing Brazilian producer Mandruvá, “Tantalus” is a mix of some recordings from British Columbia landscapes, some raw vocals recorded by Ludviq, a bunch of trippy percussions and of course a little bit of madness.
To close the VA, having the DJ, producer and live performer from Tel Aviv, Yotam Russo brings “Short on the Liquor” a gap between Indie, Disco, and Rave filled with Rock n Roll soundscapes and Punk attitude, which is the representation of his signature sound.

'Matra Murena’ is a 4x4 dance floor scorcher inspired by the car of the same name. Made with motor sounds, the nighttime track is filled with metallic textures. 80s reminiscent powerful synths and snappy drums propel the track forward in a continual state of motion.
