Austrian imprint @LuvShackRecords starts a new chapter in 2018 by welcoming Irish House and Techno afficionado and Misfit resident Andrew Johnston AKA @Moodtrax with his own-brand of super warm, brooding sounds to their stable. Featuring 3 originals and a remix by Berliner duo Longhair.

'Running Number' starts as a no-nonsense house track, carried by a beefy unisono bassline and a 16th note heavy drum pattern, yet it trancsends into 80s territory with the help of a deeply emotional chord progression that might just make you forget you're in a club. Longhair dig deep into that chord progression and build a melody and synth-bell infused italo-house track around it that should make this years festival crowd weep and rejoice alike.

Hot off the back of his All Day I Dream release, Roy Rosenfeld now joins Lost &amp;
Found with his ‘Helena’ EP.
A name synonymous with exquisite melodies and piano chord progressions that
entrance the listener, Roy Rosenfeld is a talent that needs little introduction. For
him, music is a way of communicating emotion to multitudes with no words
necessary, hence the attention and effort he pours into each release, mix and DJ set.
Besides a long-running friendship with Guy J and his label’s family members, this EP
sees him officially join the Lost &amp; Found roster, marking yet another exciting
development in the Israeli producer’s career. ‘Helena’ joins a back catalogue of
releases on revered labels such as Kompakt, All Day I Dream and Systematic.
The title track combines a steady, stealthy beat with bongo rhythms and flute-like
riffs, overlaid with uplifting, melodious synth chords. Things go a little deeper n ‘Gran
Poema’, mingling growling synth beats with emotive piano and wind chimes against
a loose, slapping rhythm like rain on water, further echoed by plucked strings and
swooping notes in the breakdown. The EP rounds off with ‘Love From Afar’, an
other-worldly soundscape of muted hi hats and brushes, with fragments of
mysterious static and questioning plangent synths punctuating a complex drum riff.
This three-tracker is an apt soundtrack for the daytime festivals and balmy Ibiza
nights that are finally just around the corner…

Forriner are Lee Forster and Oli Warriner, better known by their individual projects Last Waltz and Traela who met through their contributions to the Newcastle music scene. Having successfully put out solo material on staples such as ESP Institute, Mule Musiq, Let’s Play House, Tusk Wax and Hhatri, their first releases for Futureboogie Recordings and Man Power’s Me Me Me have been well received including picking up airplay on BBC Radio 1. ‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ sees the pair join Clandestino’s output whi have released Jose Manuel, Kolomensky, Coyote and Chris Coco picking up support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Axel Boman, Red Axes, Crazy P and many more.

‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ kicks things off with fluttering chord progression, angelic leads and alleviating notes keeping the track infectious yet soothing. Cladenstino’s remix of ‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ progresses into an organic percussive groove, softening melodic elements and gentle vocals in the distance while their ‘Sunrise Mix’ deploys tranquilising elements and calming textures balanced harmoniously with pulsating low-end and euphoric keys.

‘The Cat & Dog Stairs’ throws down punchy drums, playful modulations and blissful swirls of euphoria giving off an emotive and rapturous energy. Longhair are Swift and Marco Pelaic from the Wilde Renate family in Berlin with releases on Schallplatten and Bordello A Parigi. They round things off with a shimmering remix influenced by Italian dream house as the luscious bass notes flow gracefully with the heavenly synths throughout.

Next up are the French producers Franz Kirmann and Sam Berdah, behind the Days of Being Wild label, with their remix of The Pace of Everything that Lives. The two have taken this sombre and emotional track and given it a groovy and industrial paint job. Really embracing the oriental elements that Pyrame originally included, yet kicking it up a notch, they’ve almost changed the format completely with distorted mechanical synths that oscillate and vibrate, deciding to continuously layer these over the top of one another. Progressing further into the track, the producers known for creating “slightly deranged club music”, have kept the angelic euphoria from the original, but decided to isolate the voice during the breakdown to give you a taste of the enchanting world from beyond, as it effectively fills the track with a spooky and tension filled aura. A really interesting disco-noir approach to a progressive track.

The Remix EP of The Pace of Everything that Lives is set to be released on both Vinyl and Digital, on October 16th via Thisbe Recordings.

Seasoned London based artist Audioglider makes his return on Paul Hazendonk's MNL imprint with the timeless and uplifting 'Last Of The Epicureans'.

Audioglider always brings that unique vibe to the table that we all love her at Manual HQ. His productions sound fresh but with the right dosage of oldschool flavor. Look back to see the future is a phrase that comes to mind when listening to his productions, and with his latest single 'The Last Of The Epicureans' this is no different.

First up on remix duties it's man of the moment Mode Apart who makes his return on MNL after having released various originals - but this being his first ever remix for the label. Coming down from the massive success of this 'Voyage' single on Perspectives Digital which dominated the progressive house charts for weeks he showcases his trademark synth driven grooves once again. Pure magic!

Another artist who makes his return on MNL is Hacobb who debuted on the label earlier this year with his 'Atlast' single. The Greek/Scottish producer, also know for his releases on Modern Agenda, Blaufield Music and High Tide Recordings delivers a remix that will be welcomed with open arms by the progressive house community for sure. It's deep, it's complex and it's intense and driving at the same time. Lovely work!
