Bafu - Shimmer (Daniel Salaghi Extended Mix)

Aragami is a dark, 3rd person, stealth game about an undead warrior with the power to control the shadows set in a mythical japan.

Our goal with this soundtrack was for the music to always tell the narrative and the emotional state of the main character, even during levels. We tried to derive from what we think is the classic way of doing a stealth soundtrack where the emotion is usually always in a state of suspense or to make the player feel cool. Instead, in Aragami, suspense is built through layers, where each track has it's own "tension"-layer that plays when a guard raise suspicion but goes back to the normal layer when going undetected.

We also built a lot on progression, that each track could stand on it's own feet but also be a part of the players progression both in levels and in the story. Therefore some of the tracks has parts divided from each other, that loop until a certain area is reached but as a whole still works as one entity.

These different types of layers are not presented in this CD version of the soundtrack.
