My second year playing under the LED palm trees of Decadent Oasis on the Esplanade. Being a midnight set, I played a bit more uptempo breaks than my usual flair. As a bonus, this year, dcdnt upgraded their 3-story-high "volcano" flamethrower by giving the DJ control over it. That was immensely fun and added a whole new dimension to the set.

My friends!! ...please enjoy my sunrise set from Disorient at Burning Man 2013.  The man had just burnt and the playa was at his highest capacity ever.  The set began in the darkness and the sun came up right around 2:08:00...and if you listen close enough, you can hear the one-more-song chant that broke out around 2:47:00.  

I want to personally thank Disorient for having me and for the amazing people who danced along...your energy was the best medicine.

Playing music on New Years Day is always one of my favourite sets of the year.  We've all put the old year to bed and come together to share in the coming years rich potential.  Over time, I've found that the sets that resonate are the ones that riff on classics, are rich with soul, that are just all the way down funky.  Comfort music.  Feel good music.  
 Accessible, but done right, hits for the heads as well.  I nabbed this recording from a set that I did not think was going to happen.  2020 was a rough year.
