Im a drummer who likes a wide range of genres of music. I prefer Rock, but i can play most styles. Ive been building on my drumming from my early age of 3 when i first started becoming aware of what drums were. I was self taught to begin with and i learnt from watching Ian Paice on vhs(video ) It would have been a concert my dad had on tape of Deep Purples "Come Hell Or High Water" tour. My other early memories of learning drums came from hearing the ladies of the local marching band, ( just hearing drums of any description was enough, i became hooked instantly ). I also had an added advantage where by, at the time the drummer for the Edga Broughton Band "Steve Broughton", lived next door, and so demonstrated my first lesson of snare drum rolls and rudiments. I began quickly picking up the rhythm fast and teachers at school noticed i had a natural sense of rhythm. I spent a long time bashing away on plastic bins, buckets and cardboard boxes. My fondest memory is of me playing along to a casette tape on walkman to "Queens" Its A Kind Of Magic. Year 8 at high school i took up drum lessons and took to it like a duck to water reaching as far as grade 4. I had no full set of drums to learn on until just before i finished high school. My first full kit was bought for me when i was 14/15. Today i continue to keep developing and ever improve my drumming technique. I also regularly attend open mic nights and help a few local artists out. "Music is my life my blood my soul"
