The pairing of Nick Havsen and GRYM is back for another collaborative meeting of minds on Generation Smash with their latest raw club banger, ‘The Legend’.
 
Infused with the essence of hardstyle but in a peak-time high-energy electro house monster, ‘The Legend’ is a no-holds-barred mainstage stomper. Equipped with a male narration-esque vocal straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster trailer, Nick Havsen and GRYM dive into their mesmerising instrumental with much conviction and deliver an undeniable dancefloor banger.
 
Nick Havsen is a producer known for his ability to effectively explore various genres, ranging from Big Room to Deep House and everywhere in between. With releases on renowned labels, such as Revealed, Intensity Recordings and Zero Cool Records, a stream of live sets at clubs around the world and various appearances at world-leading events, such as Ultra and Untold Festivals, Nick Havsen is at the top of his game. 

German EDM producer/DJ GRYM arrived on Generation Smash for the first-time last year alongside Nick Havsen. Since then, his music has received support from EDM artists AXMO, KEVU, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike whilst being released on labels like Smash The House, Glow, Spur, and more.

Almost a quarter of a century on from its original release, two behemoths of the EDM scene in MATTN and Jaxx & Vega combine to deadly effect as they give Bomfunk MC’s 1999 hit ‘Freestyler’ a mainstage facelift, ready for any festival headline slot around the world! The two seasoned veterans and Smash The House regulars make it look easy as they blend elements of the original effortlessly in to a reimagined arena, where basslines thump and synths crash. It would be easy to lose sight of the original when the differing sounds are eras apart, but the experience of the two producers shines through as they do the seminal hit justice in every way!

MATTN, at just 26 years of age, is fast becoming one of, if not the most, listened to female producers in the EDM scene. Clocking in with almost 1.5m monthly listeners on Spotify alone and collaborations with the biggest and best in Martin Jensen, DJ’s From Mars and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, it is no wonder that MATTN is a name on everyone’s lips. This will be the Belgian selectors 10th single release of the year, an incredible run of top quality releases which has put her at the forefront of the scene. Jaxx & Vega is another name that needs no introduction in the world of mainstage producers, the German duo have been impressive as of late with their solo work in ‘Revival’ and collaborations in their recent remix of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s release with Akon ‘She Knows’. The Ruhr area natives are true pioneers and torch-carriers for the big room genre, never straying away from the roots of their influence while simultaneously creating unique and original moments with every release. It is this feeling that has kept the duo on top for so long!
