As I continue my quest to get better recording drum parts, I draw inspiration from my favourite drummers. 

@sterloid is on top of that list. His creativity working with @johnmayer and others is a lesson in serving the song. 

Here is my attempt of doing that. Snare drum with brushes and percussion layered over drum set.
