Climbing high came about as a result of me losing my father and thinking about my own fate when I die, and how I would like my children to think of me.

This is a song about forbidden love. A couple that meet up are engaged to be married  behind her father‘s back. They live with hope and dream of a life together in the village of Ottery Saint Mary in Devon.

Ottery Saint Mary is the birthplace of Samuel Taylor  Coleridge, a co-founder of the Romantic Movement, penned many famous works throughout his lifetime, such as The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Kubla Khan. In his early years he wrote Songs of the Pixies.

At a small distance from a village in that county, half-way up a wood-covered hill, is an excavation called the Pixies' Parlour. The roots of old trees form its ceiling; and on its sides are innumerable cyphers, among which the author discovered his own cypher and those of his brothers, cut by the hand of their childhood. At the foot of the hill flows the river Otter.

In Piccadilly Lane, there is a rather quaint turn style gate . This set a scene for our loved up couple.s
