Hailing from the impressive Rings of Neptune stable of artists, Parisian artist Maxime dB is amassing plaudits at a remarkable rate. A regular at the finest beat emporiums around Europe and is a favoured spinner by the likes of Nostromo, Hoppetosse, Wildt, Café Barge, and the list is only growing bigger by the weekend. Not afraid to go against the grain Maxime’s addition to the RON Interstellar Travel Guide – Volume II took things in a more downtempo direction with his ‘1 Night in Paris’ jam.

With his sound laying somewhere between the 80’s and 90’s heyday of electronic and of course more contemporary influences, Maxime goes off the beaten track in search of tracks to populate his DJ sets. In a sea of serious AF house and techno Maxime’s sets cuts through all that to offer an altogether different musical journey. Not to say his music is not legit as he is what one might call a DJ’s DJ where two unexpectedly cohesive tracks make for perfect bedfellows. Dial this up to eleven and prepare to be taken on a journey with plenty of twists and turns.

With over a decade of experience as a DJ behind him the versatile Momo Trosman continues his upward trajectory in recent years. On a personal level the Argentinian never tires of developing his distinct sound, consistently honing his craft and pushing his record bag to new boundaries, shying away from following trends but instead amalgamating a blend of genres, manoeuvring between innovative shades of UK and US 
House, Electro and Techno, utilisting strains of Breakbeat and Minimal, and extends this further in to ambient when taking his dance floor on a journey.

 This raw talent for storytelling has seen Trosman take his comprehensive sound on a global scale, frequently touring Europe year on year, and several US tours under his belt already. The Buenos Aires native is most famously known for his co-creation of the record label and party starting outfit Melcure, a dynamic and cohesive project which brings together Cure Music and Melisma with close friends and affiliates Dani Casarano, Felipe Valenzuela, and many more. 

The connection between this thriving artist and electronic music runs
deeply, with the roots at the heartbeat of his passion transcending from a vast background in music including Rock, Pop, Dub and Jazz music, among other genres. 
A series of vibes he is extremely fond of to this day, implementing them into his diverse sound of modern times as a DJ. The ever evolving story of Momo and the trust he receives worldwide is a testament to his undying passion and organic ability as an artist, and long may that continue as he sets his grips firmly on a bright few years ahead, including his latest project Replica alongside the legendary Franco Cinelli.

Losoul, his name instantly brings to mind associations with minimal or microhouse, of reduction and continuity, and consequently the now held legendary label Playhouse. This rings true for the early generation of electronic music lovers in particular but those that followed too, although Losoul is a most discrete legend.

Some still recall that Berlin is deeply rooted in Frankfurt with artists, who would later move on to form labels like Perlon and various more. Founded in 1993, Playhouse pre-dates those and Peter Kremeier alias Losoul would become one of the imprint’s key players alongside Isolée, Villalobos and others.

The sound they pushed was coined microhouse by music journalist Philipp Sherburne first and Playhouse came to define a new music genre for all subsequent labels such as Perlon, Kompakt, Spectral Sound, Force Tracks, and fabric to name a few.
