The Wormfood label got in touch with me last year and asked me to remix K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade's 'Turn up the music', which I was well up for as I'm a big fan of the original...

I love the Afrobeat brass lines on this tune so really focussed on them, while adding bags of percussion, some repetitive piano, some silky Rhodes chords, heavy subs and a bit of a rolling amen work out at the end.  Plus I got KOG to do some extra vocals which you won't hear in the original...

The release also features the original version, instrumental and an excellent remix from Tom Excell.
