Homenatges - untitled excerpt

A mediados de marzo de 2010 interrumpimos las sesiones de grabación de nuestro último disco para hacer un homenaje al grupo asturianu Defensa: azote de la escena ruidista a comienzos de este siglo. Cuando pusimos manos a la obra decidimos que la versión debería separarse el máximo posible de la canción. Para conseguirlo hicimos un ritmo nuevo, rescatamos de la original los versos que mejor se podían incorporar a este y escribimos un par de frases. Nosotros mismos quedamos extrañadísimos con el resultado final. Hubiera sido más fácil ponernos a gritar y a meter ruido pero decidimos homenajear al grupo forzando un trabajo en otra dirección, es decir, complicándonos la vida. Aunque hemos de añadir que esta decisión no excluye para nada que en adelante hagamos temas de Defensa, incluso de esta misma canción, a voz en grito y con un volumen demoledor. Seguimos con las mismas ganas de siempre de intentar una versión, a la fase, de "Avilés Industrial" y no parece que vayamos a quedarnos con ellas. Tampoco descartamos que en un futuro próximo la versión sufra un proceso de producción más acorde con lo que merece.
Este trabajo acaba de ser publicado por el sello asturiano Truco Espárrago en un doble cd-r dedicado a homenajear a la Defensa. Además de Fasenuova han hecho versiones: Arnau Sala, Rafael Flores, Mixturizer, C-Utter, Scumearth, Xedh, Hinyouki, Sons of Bronson y Tzesne. La edición también incluye un disco con los temas originales. Por nuestra parte decir que seguimos afiliados al SIndicato de la Defensa.
