Jason Patrick’s lineage connects two of the most influential cities in electronic music: Chicago and Detroit. His unique sonic fingerprint combines influences from both cities, honing in on that unmistakable Detroit spirit, while harmoniously incorporating a subtle influence from the Windy City. As a highly-skilled, dynamic selector, he’s been a resident at Chicago’s infamous Spybar with regular travels across the USA, hitting cities like Los Angeles,New York, Miami and Detroit respectively. He’s also been booked to play in Europe, appearing at Tresor in Berlin and Plastic in Milan.

Equally adept in the studio, he channels years spent refining his technical skills into tracks that have landed on labels such as KMS, Gynoid Audio, Dumb-Unit, Northern Parallels, Future Arkive, DJ Hyperactive’s 4 Track and his own Klectik label. Focused on the same nuanced, hypnotic sound Jason is known for, Klectik launched in 2007 and is now 33 releases deep. Equipped with deep knowledge, superlative skills, and a progressive, driven attitude towards his
work, Jason Patrick is one of the lynchpins of Chicago techno.

Today, he is an intrinsic part of Chicago’s Astral Undertones collective, performing as their resident DJ, while also passing on his extensive knowledge to the team. Meanwhile, in the studio, he works with up and coming producers to impart his studio know-how, gained through two decades of dedication to exploring sound and frequency in great detail. In doing so, he is ensuring the next generation of Chicago’s electronic music community are equipped with the
knowledge they need to take the scene forward and continue the legacy laid down by the pioneers from both Detroit and Chicago.

-February 5th - March 10th, 2000 - Trained in Al Sajat Art Production Studios as an assistant Audio Engineer running Protools TDM.
-December 6th 2000 May 6th 2001: Employed in Dubai, U.A.E. in V.V. and Sons Ltd. - Professional Systems Division, in Audio and Martin Light Systems as a Sales Engineer in selling and designing Audio-Visual Systems for consultants, contractors, shopping malls, concerts, and Hotels. Ref. Mr. Tony Sawyer (General Manager). 
-June 1st 2001 to December 1st 2001: Employed in JVC Professional Projects Division in Video and Audio systems. Designing Quotations and reporting directly to the General Manager. January 2002 to October 2002: Employed in Lightpipe Group, Dubai, U.A.E. as an assistant Audio Engineer Engineer.
June 2003 to date: Self owned freelance music production company Key Fx Productions for various band rehearsals and takes. Employed in Virgin Megaspores in Music Instrument Garage.
-15th 2003 till February 12th 2004 and May 12th 2004 to November 11th Studio sales and Pro Studio Recording section. Played Live in Social Club as a part Time Live DJ on Sundays, using and running Ableton live and RM1X Yamaha sequencer. Live 3 hour sets of Psy-electro-minimal-ambient-electronica. 
-January 28nd to June 2nd 2005. Internship in Advertising and Graphic Design in the Creative Department in Fortune Promoseven Advertising Agency. Played 3 Hour Psy Chill Acts at Artlounge Lebanon. Studio Acoustics built for DJ Lethal Skills, at Hamra-Beirut. KeyFX Productions 2007-2011.
