FERMA012 is up close and personal to the Athenian scene. Label co-runner, Morken unveils a diverse 4-tracker infused with an immersive blend of intricate breakbeats, heavy low end and gritty vocals. Remix duties from two staple personas of the local scene, DJ Problems and Fragedis, who are hitting the spot once more.

DJ Problems is one of the driving forces behind Fade Radio, a community-based radio in Athens that is ever-growing, and has recently launched his own label named Street Fighter Honda with a fantastic VA full of surprises. He is also known for his productions as Bekha Mujiri on labels such as Abstract Reality & Meta Moto.

Fragedis has been a consistent presence for more than 15 years, with releases on legendary labels like Modal Analysis & Pi Electronics among others. He co-runs Healthy Summer, an iconic festival in Sougia, Chania, which has hosted the likes of Delta Funktionen, Alienata, Sawf and ANFS just to name a few.

Dance Mécanique EP: Unleashing the Pulse of the Mechanized Symphony

Embark on a sonic journey through the labyrinthine landscapes of machinery with Alpha Sect's upcoming EP, "Dance Mécanique." This vinyl release, destined to echo through the underground, serves as a pulsating manifesto against the encroaching takeover of our world by cold, relentless machines.
In Meredith, Alpha Sect crafts a sonic portrait of a world on the verge of mechanization. His haunting voice, draped in delay and reverb effects, weaves seamlessly with the beats of EBM and the cold melodies of Post-Punk. Dance Mécanique, the titular track, unravels the dance of humanity entrapped in the mechanized rhythm of everyday life. The fifth Kri release was produced by a New York based producer Richard Gamble, who has appeared on our compilation Trust The Rust and has received the seal of approval on legit labels such as Marguerite Records and Public System Recordings. Dream Sequence EP explores the boundaries between mutated Wave, Minimal Synth, and EBM in search of a perfect loop and the most epic melody. A dim and moisty atmosphere is often cut by a ray of light but you can't be sure if it's just a flashing strobe. Three original tracks command absolute attention on the dancefloor or on the sofa and are accompanied by a Violet Poison remix. Francesco is another Kri acquaintance, who adds some industrial muscles and sends the vocals and the record into a frenzy.

Following up his anthemic late-summer burner, Hope, Credit 00 returns to Pinkman to deliver the album Midnightlife Crisis. Hopping between genres whilst remaining resolutely coherent, the twelve-track LP is a showcase of the Rat Life boss’ many influences.

From the driving, mesmeric techno of Music Is A Spiritual Thing to the sci-fi electro on Bouncing Bell and Love Warrior’s downtempo, half-time shuffle, the collection of tracks is broad and varied yet simultaneously unified by belonging to the club.

Whether it’s warm-up material, peaktime rollers or afterhours sludge for tired legs and scrambled heads, there’s something for every scenario on Midnightlife Crisis.

And with recurring themes of melancholy and anxiety throughout, the album perhaps reflects that all too familiar period for every club enthusiast when the years are ticking by and the lights are coming on.

“I just hope there’s hope”, sings the voice on the album’s lead single, before reminding us that the dancefloor’s sweet release is often the best remedy to these negative thoughts - “I see you shaking on the floor, that gives me hope, gives me hope.”
