Dame-Music presents The Paradigm Shift Vol. 1.
For the first release of 2021, label owner Bloody Mary is launching a new series which aims to blur the lines between EBM, dark wave and acid. 

Kicking things off on the A-Side is Bloody Mary’s track “Snatch”, followed by the renowned French artist Millimetric who’s welcomed to Dame-Music for the first time with his track “Body Alert” on A2.
On the flip we see two more label debuts, this time from Russian artist Meshes on B1 with his track “Ролевая Игра (Roleplay)”, while Colombian artist Delectro rounds out the package on B2 with the heavy hitting and aptly named “Panic Rage”.

The Paradigm Shift Vol. 1 vinyl is out on 2nd July 2021 in all your favorite record shops.

“The Beast Within” is the title track from the debut album from Brazilian producer and DJ, Diego Garcia on their own imprint, VRAAA Records; a queer label from Berlin. In the album, Diego alternates between both of their Projekt Gestalten and The Princess of Death aliases in order to create original pieces of music inspired by a point-and-click adventure game from the 90’s. As Projekt Gestalten, an array of dance tracks are functionally presented; dissecting a more rational aspect from the game's storyline. In contrast, The Princess of Death goes into an ambient and experimental approach; exploring liturgical themes. In the end, the gender polarizing concept is extrapolated and both aliases are finally merged into one another; leading to the Gestalt principle, alluded to in Diego's main alias, being fully applied as a whole.

"The Beast Within" will be released on 25 of February of 2022 on a heavy-weight 180g double vinyl edition and also on digital format.

“The Beast Within” is the new album by Brazilian artist, Diego Garcia; exploring gender identities within contemporary electronic music. The artist uses two of their distinguished artistic identities: The Princess of Death, her feminine identity – where there is an exploration of a more introspective and corrosive textures commonly associated with patriarchal values; and Projekt Gestalten, his masculine identity – where melodic and hypnotic sounds, often associated with matriarchy, are emphasised.

PREMIERE: Projekt Gestalten + The Princess of Death - Requiem For The Swan King

Darko Kolar is an artist with multiple registers and a great commitment to the transgressive music scene. From Serbia, and for years now, he has been pumping out industrial techno all over Europe that was soon embraced by other producers and other platforms. He did this as a member of Ontal together with Boris Brenecki, and later as Katran and from his record project Jezgro. However, it is not fair to associate Darko's figure only with industrial techno, as his musical spectrum is much broader, as he demonstrates with Jezgro, a label open to very diverse and extreme proposals, on which big names such as Merzbow or KK Null have been released. 

This time, Katran releases his music on the Italian label Blame Records, and his musical proposal focuses on industrial techno but seen from different sound approaches. Because industrial techno is not only defined as a ruthless subgenre in which forcefulness prevails, but it has a much broader meaning and can be sonically adapted to different scenarios.

Decapitation is an EP that showcases three different approaches by the author himself, plus a reinterpretation by Greek producer ANFS. The first cut, BL-1, mixes the power and depth of the punch and the sub-bass of abrasive techno, with metallic rhythmic elements reminiscent of the contact of a hammer with an anvil, to which we must also add a degraded treatment of the rest of the textures. BL-2, on the other hand, remains in an industrial tessitura despite sounding neat and atmospheric, and although on this occasion techno predominates, the sonic nature of the accompanying elements is completely industrial. ANFS's version of BL-1 is just as solid and powerful as the original track, although it opts for a syncopated rhythmic approach. BL-3 closes the album with a sonic concept that mixes different qualities, as the homogeneity of all the elements that are incorporated, together with the rhythmic robustness of the break, create a hypnotic and at the same time demolishing atmosphere.

This is the year 2022, not 1942, and sadly the Ukrainians are facing something no people should. When this war broke out well over a month ago, I (MÆDON), started reaching out to artist friends asking if they
were interested in contributing to a benefit comp for the Ukrainian’s. Many amazing artists joined and the result is a 15 track album filled with a dynamic range of sounds.

With this album, a new series on Sonic Groove is born, “Sonic Groove & Friends”. A series that myself, MÆDON, will be curating. Adam and I also want to thank each of the artists for contributing stellar tracks for this cause. This album will not be a permanent fixture, so please download it now and know that your money will be donated to a German charity to benefit Ukrainians in this awful time. We will give an update in due time
