the 808 kick is from Blank Banshee's "Big Gulp", but i pitched it with the clanging snare (you may have to really try to be able to hear that the snare is actually a minor 6th interval from the 808 kick)

i don't feel like i've finished the outro for this song, and i'm not set on the name for sure, but i thought i'd release at least something new since i haven't in so long (and am sitting on so many projects i never released since a long time ago)

oh and btw this song loops perfectly into itself if you're the kind of person who likes that

Sinister Psyche - Capricious Mistress (DEMO)

This is my song entry for the Homestuck Music Contest--essentially a dark electro house song for the Condesce. On a technical level this song more or less represents the culmination of all the practice and knowledge I've gained from working with music up until now.

Sinister Psyche - Fuchsia Ruler [Formerly Known as "Witc)(ing )(our"] [PRE-RELEASE]

I don't always like to make aggressive songs, and this is a good example of that. It's actually been done since January and was done a while before http://soundcloud.com/sinisterpsyche/witching-hour. I just never uploaded it for whatever reason. I've got loads of work-in-progress tracks and this was one of the better ones and I'll probably stick it in some kind of aquatic-themed EP at some point as I finish a few more tracks stranded in a state of hiatus.

If it wasn't obvious, it's aquatic themed, contains lots of watery samples, and is a reasonably chilled out compared to what I usually make. Major seapunk influence (i dont care if you don't think its a genre I like it), but this has more of a trance/house aspect to it that chopped and screwed hip-hop flavor. I think it's pretty strong in the melody area though. That tends to be my recurring motif.

Coastal Calling

Despite being dubstep there's no LFO'd bass or any heavy LFO work making it "wubless". I wanted to make a track that set a creepy but exciting and melody-rich atmosphere that will still be a strong and catchy listen.

If it wasn't already obvious the general theme is walking around in a deserted hospital in the twilight. Might touch it up a little before release as i continue to get more production-wise.

EDIT: I fiexed this up after having left it hidden for a while. It sounds better now.

The Hospital

Shit gets real at about 1:42 so if you haven't got the time or the attention span to listen to the whole thing at least skip to there.

I think I've finally found my stylistic niche 'cause this track was hella fun to make and probably the sickest thing ive made since Fuchsia Ruler/Witc)(ing )(our.  If I had to try to describe it it'd be hyper-melodic industrial moombahcore. It's got all the signature melody with a few more tricks I've picked up along the way. This is more or less another track that'll find its way onto my EP which I'll release soon as I pull my shit together and make a few more tracks. Then I'll go back and patch up all the old ones to get it sounding stellar. It'll be free of course.

Cybergrind

First track to break in my new name. Real dubstep; complete with wubs and growls--and of course my melodic edge.

Scintillations

This track's been sitting on my hard drive as a work in progress for just a couple weeks short of a year now and I decided it was time to finally finish it up. Its age shows a little, but it's still full of a few of my favorite melodies I've ever come up with and I think it's still a pretty sweet song that was deserving of a release.

i think it’s cool how you can put a whole new song together from parts of other ones. i got the vocal track from the soundcloud of a female MC who went by the name Ray D. S. but she doesn’t seem to be going by that name anymore. it was a while ago.
