I knew Lino towards the end of his life, his wife would pay me to do sysadmin chores for him on a linux box that he was trying to port his hardware DSP based projects to despite his  declining mental state and then he would blow it up changing things and not being able to remember what he was doing. Despite that, he was still brilliant even at the end. He would often be unable to verbalize something but could draw it (he had some theories about ADC's that I never could quite understand between his declining state and my lack of an engineering background at the time. My guess is it was some sort of bit stream representation plus a weird decimation/reconstruction filter of his own devising. He had a bunch of hardware that he had been working on and some recordings stored in a closet (I remember an amazing handwired keyboard interface and a home built DAC enclosed in a faraday cage among other things) I'm assuming his wife has died as well by now. So many things that deserved to be in a museum or archive. I tried to interest Brown University's music library in it but no luck.
