but i'd be afraid to show him my cover.
you can look it up. this is a cover from one of my favorite singers.
lots of instruments here - vocals - textures - more of an orchestration trying to keep it light - full of air, joy, hope -
starting in an inviting calm - warm
then into grand emotional harmony inviting every voice. 
 i could never sing like him. I had a different idea.
vocals are rough. 



There is where you need to give people that tour credit. They work on a song/album in the studio until they're SICK to death of it - then they gotta tour it for months? - possibly YEARS if it's a 'hit' - and most hits are not improvised jazz.
But there's been plenty of people that did some great covers outside of their main stylings.

 My mother worked as a waitress in our small town diner. Sometimes i'd get a chance to have a blueberry pancake - that was bigger than the plate - and the radio was playing his big song 'think i'm in trouble'

just to lean about putting together a electronic song using loops - adding guitars, my own percussion, bass, - started this long ago - just wanted to finish it.

what's strange about this recording is that it starts more mid song during the 'solo' and into the main chorus - i never started from the beginning - my original idea was to go into another song - that never came together.

i had this album - vinyl record when i was a kid. i've listened to it not long ago and it's STILL a REALLY good album. Now i have 2 vinyl versions-one import that isn't the same as the USA release. So this is to say 'thanks'

The book 2001 from Arthur C. Clarke is better than film in some ways. But after you read the book it kinda ruins the film-well, at least at the end. But since Arthur himself worked with Kubrick on the film - who could argue?
I saw this film on the big screen again quite a while ago. A man next to me in line was at the 1st USA premier! He said he still had the original program all in attendance among the first were given. Back then the opening of such a film was a BIG deal!

Lots of guitars in this one -all played with REAL guitars- but bass was created on keyboard. Real drum set can be heard along with other percussive elements. all vocals real & warped by such a mind.

This is an accident. But at the time created - let's just say i uploaded it once then deleted it. Now - who knows how long it will be here. I bumped the speed up by accident so i developed an early version with cheesy keys, key bass, guitars & synths along with intro & 1st verse along with the LP from ‘modern day warrior - to mean mean pride’ this is just for amusement-FUN.  I recently watched a SUDDEN stride video’s & enjoyed the part where the band is in a cafe & Geddy is behind the bar-alex at the bar - band is also the band 'impulsively' doing orchestral covers - really funny - at one point Alex is wearing an enormous phat suit & dancing around with his guitar! It is hilarious! I envisioned him at a club like that hearing this.)  'shur' like a band with a sense of humor!
