US President Donald Trump’s immigration ban has sent shockwaves across the globe, leading to stranded passengers at US airports, protests and a volley of legal challenges. Business leaders in the US have been pressured to speak out against the executive order, which Mr Trump says is necessary to keep America safe. The heads of firms from Facebook to Goldman Sachs have denounced the ban, which temporarily stops refugees from being admitted to the US, and bans citizens of seven countries from entering the country. Coffee chain Starbucks went so far as to pledge to hire 10,000 refugees in the wake of the order. For one New York firm, the ban poses nothing less than an existential threat. The BBC’s Kim Gittleson reports.
