I started life in Los Angeles. At the age of ten, my dad, Dave Hunt, heard the voice of God telling him to give up his successful business career and become a writer. Our family of six took off to travel the world so he could gain inspiration for his books. We had many adventures, such as escaping out of Egypt right before the 6 Day War, smuggling Bibles into communist countries and living in a 17th century Swiss castle. We were supposed to bring people to the Christian way, but traveling introduced me to so many amazing people of different faiths and I realized no one had a monopoly on God. 

I married a Yugoslavian pop star and lived between London and a village near Lake Bled. It should have been a fairytale marriage but it was a horrible time of physical abuse. I managed to escape finally back to California with my four year old daughter. There, I started training in martial arts, weapons and kick boxing. This became a way of life for me and helped me immeasurably. I started writing and illustrating children's books. To date, I ha e nineteen children's books published and numerous essays and articles. 

I married a real estate developer and had two sons. Looking for a way to share my writing knowledge, I started a creative writing program for incarcerated youth. I started with a group of 8 girls all facing life sentences. Those girls changed my life. One in particular, Silvia Sanchez, became a dear friend over the years, even through her twenty five years of incarceration. She is free today. It wasn't long after I started teaching that other writers began to volunteer their time. InsideOUT Writers was born. I put my heart into building the program until it grew to the point where Hollywood elite started getting interested in it. At that point, I bowed out. I'm glad to say InsideOUT Writers is still helping youth to this day. 

My husband had never approved of me working with kids in jail and I divorced once more. I did a lot of writing at that point about raising my kids as a single mother on the mean streets of LA suburbia. My home was always filled with the artistic kids (like my sons) who didn't quite fit in. I ways did my best to provide a loving and safe space. Over the years tragically some were lost to drugs and violence. Many others overcame and are fulfilling their artistic dreams. 

Once my kids were grown and independent, I reduced my possessions to the minimum and took off on a spiritual journey, traveling and connecting with martial artists, teaching and writing. It was during this time I wrote the first 3 books in Night Angels Chronicles. 

Most recently what I am most excited about: FIREFLY LANE: Tales of Earth & Oran, Love & Revenge. I wrote this and did most of the artwork while living in Luxor, Egypt. And that adventure deserves a whole book into itself! 

FIREFLY LANE was published with Terror House Press in Spring 2021. I'm a free spirit and don't fit in with mainstream media so I'm happy to be published with a small press who respects my integrity as an artist. 

I returned to the US, after fighting off a new b of violent m n in Luxor, and started writing essays about my take on COVID on Substack. These essays have really taken off.

On Soundcloud, I'm enjoying reading the chapters as they are released once a week in Terror House Mag. It's just my personal pleasure. So for anyone who has stumbled upon this page I hope you enjoy it.
