Everything I Know About Love

This podcast came about as I met Bediah through one of her exhibitions at FerArts. As a visible Muslim woman, I found her an interesting figure in the creative industry. Thus it led me to asking if she was available for an interview to discuss her experiences. Bediah is a creative who isn’t bothered about making her name, but rather just creating. From being an assistant producer, filming three short films, working with Museum of London and creating her own zine NTM (Not too much) that focused on Eurocentric beauty standards, she’s been busy since 2020. It was a wonderful conversation with Bediah reminding myself and the audience why it is important to have voices like her own in the creative scene, but more importantly why it isn't a problem if stories may seem similar. After all there is a universality that connects us all and work on her hijab, heritage or even her home are all unique even if you may have seen similar work. It is not to be criticised but to be celebrated that certain demographics are being seen and certain experiences are talked about.
