ضمن ألبوم حلاويلا (إنتاج مستقل، إصدار 17 سبتمبر/أيلول 2015)، لا يعمل الثنائي مريم صالح وزيد حمدان على كسر للأنماط الموسيقية المعتادة، بل يتلاعبان بها، فيصل ذلك إلى حد السخرية منها أحياناً. مريم؛ بصوتها الحاد الجريء، تفرض محتوى جديد للأغنيات يتخطى ما تشير له الكلمات، لتصنع مفارقات ساخرة تجبر المستمع على تفكيك المعنى المباشر والتورط في ما وراؤه بتلقائية. بينما لا يترك زيد مساحة لأي توقع في الألحان والتوزيع، فهو يخترق التراث الموسيقي ليصنع منه أجواء ليست حديثة بقدر ما هي مفاجئة، ويبتكر ألحاناً تحمل أجواءً درامية تتكامل مع أداء مريم. 

Described by NOW as an “interesting and magnetic collaboration”, Halawella is an experimental musical partnership between Egyptian singer and songwriter Maryam Saleh, a powerful voice for her generation, and pioneering electro-music producer Zeid Hamdan, who has been described as the “godfather of Lebanese underground music”. 
The duo have developed their blend of traditional Arabic songs, hip-hop and electronica, which unites to produce raw, energetic and sophisticated music that reflects the contemporary political situation.

“بيت” مشروع إبداعي بين ثلاث من أهم الموسيقيين على الساحة الموسيقية المستقلة. بالرغم من أثرهم على الحركة الفنية في أوطانهم، لم يجدوا مكاناً لاحتضانهم في وطن.
البحث عن الهوية، الحدود و العائلة هم مفاتيح هذا المشروع الموسيقي الحر من القيود و المنفتح بين أفراده.
 
Home is the merging of 3 essential live acts of the Lebanese Syrian and Palestinian Arab indie music scene . Although they have had an important  impact on  their respective communities , they still don t have a place to call home.
Through this open collaborative  plateform they have built a musical project that questions the concepts of identity , borders and family.

Khalas band members compose original sounding music inspired by the classical Arabic repertoire ruthlessly embedded with Rock and
Metal arrangements.
Stemming from the emerging Arabic and Oriental music scene in the Middle East, Khalas combines sensual Arabic beats and lyrics with
aggressive metal riffs. The band members are Palestinians who were bred on various musical moods; from AC/DC, System of a down,
Black Sabbath and other to Arabic classics like Mohammed Abdel-Wahab, Umm Kulthoum,
Asmahan, and more Arab stars from the Arab world. 
Or you just can call it "SYSTEM OF A DOWN FOR BELLY-DANCERS" :)
