Alisha went to a store and found this music box with a volunteer firefighter and child atop. It was the prize for a game called pin the hat on Luca ( it was is birthday ). The winner was Felipe, he didn't want it so I recorded a portion of the tune and made this out of that iPhone recording.

s we live our lives and watch our friends and family members go off to war, we have seen many men and women lose there lives and many more affected by the experiences in war. This song gives a look into the rising cases of PTSD in veterans. I wanted to take a moment and bring awareness and also show concern toward people that are suffering from this condition.&#13;

Some Servicemen and Women experience traumatizing events during duty and have a very hard time adjusting to life on the home front. I personal have family members that served and the song is about two men I spoke with earlier this year. One was a Vietnam vet and one was a Iraq vet.&#13;

What's up y'all? Follow me into the studio as I write this song, "Blip." When I'm working, time seems to fly. Precious ticking moments that move past actually give me so much peace. This instrumental gives me the feeling of being above clouds and at the exact same moment viewing those clouds lying on my back in a beautiful park — like a blip: an unexpected, minor, and temporary deviation. When making music, this happens to me constantly. When creating or thinking about what I'm playing, my mind's eye flashes to these little moments from my life or made-up worlds. It's so weird, but it feels like home, and I enjoy music because it's like a portal for that feeling. I hope this song/video is a welcomed blip in your day. Take care.

Well I think if I ever met #kanye, I would approach him like this. I had to take a break from working on my music and work on a remix that I would like to title #roundkanye - a play on #roundmidnight because it just gives me that somber feeling. #theloniousmonk is a great inspiration sonically so I forged this texture in a self-perceived auditory mood. I also wanted to pair that with a sort of interrogation-style imagery that I feel represents the lyrics, like some sort of confessional. This is for the young people, the older folks and everyone that thinks this country can truly be accepting of diverse backgrounds. It’s for people that understand that spreading hate is not the way to lead or teach future generations. The next president should be someone that understands and is willing to figure out the best ways to work with people of all backgrounds in this country and in other lands. At this time, I don't think we have that person. I feel the next four years should inspire one of the most organized and progressive campaigns in and outside of the government. The mass shootings and police brutality cases alone in this country were record-breaking and now we have a "Reality TV star"/ "Businessman" as the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. This country is obviously divided, and this country 100% needs work. So I'll be getting to work.

I wanted to create a song that would inspire listeners to support others - loved ones and strangers alike. Sometimes we get a little lost in our own worlds. Change The World Challenge

This song was created by recording GumBoot Dancers. I layered my own performance over a loop of the dancers, using instruments like bass, and body percussion to come up with a energetic arrangement that I feel vibes with the Gumboot Style. I recorded vocals and many other instruments to fill out the sound. Please take some time and look up GumBoot Dancers. The gumboot dance (or Isicathulo) is an African dance that is performed by dancers wearing wellington boots. In South Africa.

The boots may be embellished with bells, so that they ring as the dancers stamp on the ground. This sound would be a code or a different calling to say something to another person a short distance away. This was used to communicate in the mines as there was strictly no talking otherwise there would be severe, drastic punishments at the discretion of their superior.

So, I was on Instagram a few days ago and came across a performance from artist Xenia Rubinos, this is what I said...

 ✅UPDATE: thanks to this community I discovered that the melody I had stuck was J Dilla feat. Busta Rhymes “Geek Down” which was sampling Temple City Kazoo Orchestra playing “Flight of the Bumblebee” composed by Nikolai Rimsky- Korsakov 🌈ahhh thank you feeling full circle, music is fun!

Grammy-nominated composer, musician, producer, artist Khari Mateen enters a new phase with his debut album, Wait for Sunrise. The album is being produced and distributed through The Lunchroom, an independent innovation incubator which Mateen co-founded in 2009.

According to Mateen, Wait for Sunrise is his most personal work yet and reflects Mateen’s commitment to explore his own self-expression.

"I know l will be putting out more records in the future that I will love just as much as this one. But I’m ready to hit the road with my music. I think everyone knows I like working with people; I’ve been working on records for others going on 8 years. I’ve loved every second of it, and I’m still going to work with others. I’m 25 years old, I got my first placement at 19. "Wait for Sunrise” is my first record. It’s my time now."

I’m seriously committed to representing myself through my music. I was not guided by anyone when making this record.
