When it is time for fasting, it is not just missing meals or dieting. When you fast, you replace the time you would usually use for food, with God. As you fast, there are merits to fasting that you should be aware of.

Believers are supposed to grow, growing in our knowledge of Christ Jesus which is hinged on the word of God. What makes you a better Christian is not how long you've been in church, but how much of the word of God is within you.

Salvation is a gift to the sinner, not a reward to the righteous. Salvation is a gift of life; it’s not a reward of accreditation or recognition. Through salvation, we have forgiveness of sins, are justified, redeemed and are lifted up in Christ Jesus in heavenly places.
