From the beginning, the Holy Spirit has been at work in the economy of God. The Holy Spirit was behind the conception of Jesus Christ. As Jesus was sat at the right hand of the father in heaven, he received the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to continue his ministry on earth.

Believers are supposed to grow, growing in our knowledge of Christ Jesus which is hinged on the word of God. What makes you a better Christian is not how long you've been in church, but how much of the word of God is within you.

What Makes You A Better Christian

To be filled with the Holy Spirit, we must be desperate. Hosting the Holy Spirit requires us to engage him and be aware of his presence, making a conscious effort. We must acknowledge the Holy Spirit in every decision we make and step we take. Becoming drunk in the Holy Spirit, starts with a desire and longing to be filled. We must not give up on our thirst, the longer we remain in his presence the greater the infilling and the greater the impact. 
As we continue to press in prayer, and host his presence, we are able to align ourselves with God’s plan for our lives and destiny.
