BABS is a Facebook group I started in 2017 to find friends to go to bass shows with, that now has 1.8k members and is a fully thriving community and mutual aid network in the Bay Area. We've been attending The Untz religiously since 2017 (this was my 8th year attending, 4th year with CouchFam (I run that too), 2nd year playing music and 1st year on the main stage) so this was a crazy full circle moment for us. Wobbling basslines carry the weight of restless memories, while atmospheric pads and crisp breaks capture moments of vulnerability, chaos, and fleeting clarity. This is not just an EP—it’s a personal reckoning, an intimate soundtrack to growing up too fast and chasing escape in all the wrong places. The Diary Pt. 1 is the beginning of a story you can feel in your chest as much as you hear in your ears.
