Following outings on DeeVu, Pogo House, Plastic People Digital and Fruity Flavour - amongst others - Kindred Soul pops up on Slightly Transformed. In typical fashion, 'True Love' delivers a boundary-blurring vocal workout that happily sits at the aural intersection of Dave Lee style organic house, bumping US garage, soulful house and deep house. It's a musically rich affair, with live bass, sax, vocals and electric piano riding rolling, bongo-laden club beats. DJ Passion provides the obligatory remix, giving the track a classic disco-house feel via the addition of stirring strings, funkier bass, soaring chords and a serious of impressive musical build-ups. It's a fine remix that should appeal to all those who love the output of the Groove Culture and Z Records imprints.

There's much to admire on this first full outing from newcomer Ferdinand Debeaufort, whose only previous outing was a sole track on Slightly Transformed's recent Summer Numbers 2020 compilation. By and large, the re-edits are bouncy and floor-focused, with the lavishly named Debeaufort adding a bit more percussive pressure to a variety of disco-centric cuts. He starts in confident mood with a brilliantly chopped-up and rearranged version of an old Fantastic Aleems cut ('Funny Feeling'), before dancing his way through a rubbery disco-boogie number (the synth-sporting 'Make Love'). Elsewhere, 'Casou' is a killer version of a mid-80s French synth-boogie number, 'Can't Do It Alone' is a horn-sporting disco celebration built around short, subtly changing loops, and 'Show Me How' is a low-slung treat.

I started playing music at my parent’s house parties when I was around five. I've been collecting all kinds of music since then too. Djing at school discos and house parties. I progressed to clubs and bars around the country while holding down a 9 to 5.
Renaissance, Billion Dollar Babes, High Society, Ministry Of Sound, Gardening Club, Dusted, The Cross, The Egg, Prologue, Cable, Fabric and Car Wash, have been some i’ve played at.
I have also been playing at some of the London West End glamour clubs including Kaberet, Wellington, Volstead, Browns, Shoreditch House, Mahiki,Bungalow 8 and Wlyd.  After parties, tour dj, weddings and corporate work for the likes of Madonna, Kylie Minouge, Moby, The Rolling Stones, Dirty Vegas, Orange, Fila and MTV.  Djing back-to-back or warm up for the likes some of  my influences including Pete Tong, Danny Rampling and Norman Jay.
 Djing aside, I like making music as well. This has seen me set up my own label with a school friend. Doing session work as a bassist for various artists and labels. Remix work. Which includes a Top 10. Admittedly, a top ten in Germany. But, it still counts. Thou, perhaps my crowning glory has been being the resident at The Gardening Club in London. Since taking over. The Gardening Club has been voted 3rd best club in London in the Evening Standard Readers poll. Behind Fabric and MoS!
