KHA023 marks the first release of 2025 on Khazad Records and we are thrilled to welcome Eubo to the Khazad family.

Eubo is an up-and-coming Glasgow based artist. A self-labelled groove enthusiast, he has already established his own distinctive sound of rolling yet heavy drumlines which instantly caught our attention.

This EP is is gritty and dirty, but with refined elements of repetitive rolling percussive rhythms and interjected with catch and well-crafted vocal chants and reese bass stabs throughout. This all helps to give the sense of a constant forward movement of energy.

Alongside the five original tracks, is a crushing remix of the title track from Patrick DSP. Through the introduction of crisp yet un-relenting mid-range drums and a harsh adaptation of the vocal chant, Patrick adds his distinctive touch and huge energy to this great remix.

For KHA024 we are hugely proud to present the outstanding talent that is Wetworks.

Arizona based but originally from New York, Wetworks is an artist with a sound characterized by raw, driving techno with a distinct flavour that pays homage to his influences.

Disco, House and Jackin' flavours run throughout this stellar EP. The often coarse yet energetic and endearing nature of the tracks makes it stand out amongst the background of an increasingly boring and un-inspiring scene.

With this EP, Wetworks reminds us that techno doesn't always have to be dark and linear. Instead it can be energetic, up-beat and genuinely fun yet still with a raw boundary pushing edge !

KHA025 witnesses the return of Decibel Place to Khazad records for his first full length EP on the label.

Liverpool's Decibel Place is an artist who has recently emerged on to the Northern UK and wider techno scene with a flurry of exceptionally produced releases. With a focus on utilising powerful, energetic and rolling percussive elements within his tracks, his sound is an ideal fit for Khazad.

The "Broken Neck EP" is an exploration of energy and movement through repetitive call and response. Each track is able to develop a hypnotic like feeling but with a percussive toughness and vitality that primes them for a dark warehouse or club environment.

Also featured on the EP is a shadowy reimagining of "Tekowah" by Decadence who returns to the label following a fantastic submission on the recent Various Artists compilation. With this remix, Decadence maintains the raw driving energy of the original track but implements a gloomy atmosphere and intensity.

For KHA021 we are thrilled to welcome back the immensely talented vrov for his second EP on Khazad.

Berlin based vrov picks up where he left off with this new EP. Once again he has supplied expertly crafted tracks which are simple in their composition, yet massively effective on the dancefloor.

Both "Coming Up Again" and "Association" use off-beat percussive stabs and layers of tightly mixed drums in strong rolling grooves that develop and build throughout creating exceptional energy.

The dynamic energy created by the tracks has seen them to become a regular occurrence in DJ sets from label chief Balrog, which led to them being instantly signed to Khazad. His love for the tracks also contributed to Balrog's desire to supply his own harder and more industrial remix of "Association" for the release.

For KHA022, label chief Balrog is back with a brand new EP featuring three original tracks and a remix from Milo Spykers.

With the Subjective Representation EP, Balrog has channelled frustrations and observations around the current political spectrum in to three blistering tracks full of distorted aggression.

With each of these tracks Balrog has sought to focus on creating consistent energy and staying true to his sound. Repetitive yet developing grooves, rolling percussive elements and, stabbing vocal lines intertwined around throbbing low ends, demonstrate clearly the signature sound and style Balrog has become known for.

Also on this EP is a sensational remix from Milo Spykers. Having recently been a part of KHAVA06, we are thrilled to welcome him back to the label.

Milo's reimagining of Subjective Representation focusses on emphasising rolling percussion and dark synthesis all wrapped around a dense powerful kick. It lends itself perfectly to the release and is sure to become a favourite among the Khazad faithful.

INDUSTRIAL GROOVE IN YOUR NOSTRILS 

Khazad Records is the brainchild of label chief Balrog. 

The concept of the label was born out of a desire to release hard, industrial, and grooving techno, while also providing a platform for the best young producers to showcase their talent. In doing so, this will hopefully enable the further development of this style of industrial enthused grooving techno.

Khazad Records is a wholly inclusive collective. For this reason, every attempt will be made to ensure an even as possible gender balance of artists. In doing so we hope to address the gender imbalances that are still ever-present within the techno scene. 

As well as showcase the hottest talent in the scene right now, the label will also hope to unearth the future stars of the scene through a fully open demo policy:

- All demos will be listened too but must be sent to our email, this may mean that it takes some time for us to respond but rest assured we will get back to you and make every attempt to offer constructive advice if the demo does not suit the label.
- Tracks DO NOT need to be mastered before sending, we are looking for raw talent not the final product.
