After nearly three years in the making this album, released on digital and vinyl sampler, represents the true essence of the unique Industrial Groove sound that Balrog has been looking to develop since his emergence on to the techno scene.

Taking inspiration from a broad spectrum of musical genres and culture, over the course of the album Balrog explores the use of captivating vocal stabs and phrases, carefully crafted atmospheric synths and rolling bass lines. All these elements are consistently bound together with the heavy and unrelenting drums and percussion that Balrog has become synonymous with.

For Episode 023 of the Khazad Podcast, we are very happy to present a label favourite and rising UK talent, Tim Williams.

Ahead of the release of his first Khazad EP on the 17th of February, he has provided us with a blistering mix full of industrial power and including a number of tracks from the forthcoming EP.

Kent based producer Tim Williams is a fast rising star in the UK industrial scene, with multiple releases on Taro Records, Matiere and now Khazad under his belt. A musical education steeped in metal, post-hardcore and old school dub, all meshed together with cinematic ambience and washed out synths form his signature, aggressive style. 

His mix for Khazad showcases the relentless nature of the music he loves, with quick cuts and subtle blends. It features lots of original material including 3 tracks from his upcoming Khazad EP ‘Fever Dream’, as well as music from SNTS, Peryl, Trudge, D.N.P, Buried Secrets and more. 

Keep an eye out for lots more music from Tim in 2021!

INDUSTRIAL GROOVE IN YOUR NOSTRILS 

Khazad Records is the brainchild of label chief Balrog. 

The concept of the label was born out of a desire to release hard, industrial, and grooving techno, while also providing a platform for the best young producers to showcase their talent. In doing so, this will hopefully enable the further development of this style of industrial enthused grooving techno.

Khazad Records is a wholly inclusive collective. For this reason, every attempt will be made to ensure an even as possible gender balance of artists. In doing so we hope to address the gender imbalances that are still ever-present within the techno scene. 

As well as showcase the hottest talent in the scene right now, the label will also hope to unearth the future stars of the scene through a fully open demo policy:

- All demos will be listened too but must be sent to our email, this may mean that it takes some time for us to respond but rest assured we will get back to you and make every attempt to offer constructive advice if the demo does not suit the label.
- Tracks DO NOT need to be mastered before sending, we are looking for raw talent not the final product.
