20 years ago the World lost someone special.  

As a young 20 year old Hard House fan, Tony De Vit was one of my favourite artists. When hunting for records at the like of Massive Records in Oxford, Replay Records, Giant Records or Bang Bang in Bristol every time I found a record by him or remixed by him I was excited to hear it as I knew it was going to be brilliant.

I remember hearing of his sad passing on Radio 1 where they (Pete Tong I think) played this mix in tribute to him. I believe therefore that this is one of Tony's last mixes and in my opinion he may have saved the best until last.

Rest In Peace Tony De Vit, you are sorely missed by the many your music touched, your legacy however will live on through your tunes and the drug-addled memories of 40 somethings like myself who will never forget you and the part your music played in their clubbing youth of the mid to late 90's.

Enjoy everybody and in his memory I urge you to turn it up and bounce around your local surroundings like you have not a care in the World, it's what Tony would have wanted !

An unashamed Jump-Up Drum & Bass mix by Quantum & Smudge from back in the day that doesn't take itself too seriously.
