Mind | Matter is the main musical project of french artist Théo Ferretti. Born and raised in Paris, M|M aims to fuse his post-punk roots with shades of electronic body music, martial industrial and mystic techno rhythms. After making his place on the french industrial scene he joined RAW Agency and released on labels such as Detriti Records, Intervision, Forbidden Teachings, EGONlab, Crave Tapes & others. His sound can be described as a melt of darkness and poetry, an encounter between chaos and romanticism.

EBM, industrial, wave, drone, it’s all in there and it’s done magnificently well by Jerome Tcherneyan and Barkosina Hanusova. A couple collaboration dating back to about 2016, the two met in the London scene and almost instantly started recording together to start their project on impulse, something that seems to drive their sound through every release since. 

With increasing acclaim through each record, the two sent a message with their album on the Italian VEYL recordings ‘Suicide Disco’ that really imposed their sound internationally with tracks like ‘Face to Face’ and ‘I’m Still a Pill’ which are classics at this point.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new mix from Alpha Sect. Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, Alpha Sect is a project of George McCall, which is focused on breaking electro patterns and pumping body music with serious punk influences. He started his music career as a guitarist in the post-metal band Sleepstream with 2 albums on their track record and he is an active musician with participations in physical theatre performances with his side-project. With already 4 EP releases on prominent labels such as OSM Tapes, Kein Rauch Ohne Feuer, Pildoras Tapes & Forkha, Alpha Sect strikes back with a vinyl release on SOIL RECORDS. Our next guest is well known for his unique interpretation of Italo Disco, Wave and Electro. Luca dell’Orso likes his music snappy and raw: character & authenticity are keywords in his book and the main pillars of guest mix no. 44. The Dutchman started producing music around 2015 and with well received releases on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, XXX, Red Laser Records and Wrong Era he’s rapidly making a name for himself in the underground dance scene.

For both his DJ sets and his own productions, Luca tends to alternate between melancholy and the well-known joyous melodies of Italo Disco. Even though Luca’s focus is rather niche, his music has frequently been played by some of the most well-known artists in the dance scene like The Blessed Madonna, Dixon, Âme and Palms Trax.

Apart from his solo work, Luca is co-initiator and curator of the Nijmegen based Italo/Electro-inspired club night TUTTI. Keep an eye on our friend Luca. You'll get to hear a lot more coming from this big talent in the future!

This month on PoleGroup radio we are going to listen to a mix from P.E.A.R.L., the Berlin based spanish artist has recorded it in his studio including tracks from Kastil, Varg, SSTROM, Exium and Zenker Brothers to name a few of them.

P.E.A.R.L. has released an EP lately on the Dutch label "Mord" called "Life Of Pleasures", and there are 2 EP's coming up on his own label Falling Ethics after summer. The first of them is a split EP  with Oscar Mulero which is planned to be released at the end of September.

You can see P.E.A.R.L. playing on june 21 at Instytut Festival in Poland as CRVEL together with Tensal and on July 19 you can see him playing in Tresor in Berlin for the next PoleGroup showcase.

Nørbak is Artur Moreira, born in the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into Ambient, Experimental, and mainly Techno. 

It all started in 2016 with labels such and Circular Limited and Illegal Alien, where he gave his first steps and since then he has been releasing his music on respected labels such as PoleGroup, Warm Up Recordings, Semantica, Modularz, Affin, Float Records and his sound has developed throughout these years focusing now more on the mental and physical side of Techno, where he finds the most comfort. 

In 2019 he joins the Portuguese independent collective and label Hayes as an active member, wherewith his label colleagues he’s pushing the new wave of contemporary Techno. 

With appearances in some respected clubs like Tresor, Lux Fragil, Gare Porto, and Family Club he also feels supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene like Oscar Mulero, Jonas Kopp, Svreca, Dasha Rush and more. His future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.
