Across the past decade, Acronym (aka Dan Vicente)has been unveiling his twist on murky, hypnotic Techno via the likes of Semantica Records, Northern Electronics, and of course, his own Stilla Ton imprint. Here, we see him joining the roster of Benthic following its inaugural release back in September 2021 from the artist Lucid Void.

Title track “Millennial Lowlife” opens up the project and perfectly sets the tone with subtly unfurling atmospherics, gnarly bass stabs, and modulating synths atop a low-slung, driving rhythm. 

“Albanova” then tips the focus over to an ambient tip, merging metallic arpeggio chimes with pulsating dub swells and tension-building textures. 

“Vertical Garden”  opens the flip side and leans towards a more electro-tinged aesthetic courtesy of squelchy acid bleeps, crunchy drums, and ethereal pads before “Flashing LED” rounds out the release, once again returning to the ambient feel with cinematic strings, meandering sub-bass tones, and shuffled percussion throughout.

PREMIERE: a n j e - Soul Perception [Indefinite Pitch]

Our next premiere is from Mexican label powerhouse @secuencias_temporales with the title track of their next release. This one is delivered from chinese artist  @ctafad. 'Concentric circles' is a slow rising track filled with spacey ambient percussions and shifty melodic production. Brilliantly composed as the track grows in depth and current building to a subtle piece of melodic hypnosis.

Facing the "direction", my energy is like smoke in the environment, and in the world of "music", I am like broken molecules everywhere. I like to use music to explain my encounters, and I make good use of "atmosphere" to collage musical passages and balance sound concepts and musicality. The core of this musical work is "concentric circles", which is the sustenance I find in music.

"This EP is a sonic reflection on the political and liberating essence of partying. In today’s world, it’s often forgotten that partying is inherently political. What was once a space for resistance and self-expression has been reduced to a consumable product, shaped by capitalism, to serve as mere entertainment.

Born from the struggles and resistance of oppressed minorities, electronic music has always been a tool for rebellion and expression. House and techno, the roots of our culture, carry a legacy that defies social norms and creates spaces of freedom, meeting grounds, and reflections where boundaries are transcended. With this EP, I wanted to pay tribute to these precious spaces, these gatherings that, in some parts of the world, are forbidden yet remain sanctuaries of resistance. To dance is to liberate oneself.

To party is to come together. It’s to assert our multiple identities in the face of a system that seeks to homogenize us. In our free parties, we are who we want to be, beyond the dictates of fascism and capitalism. These spaces are havens where seeds of reflection, hope, and emancipation can grow. In a world where fascism takes root and freedoms erode, our dance floors remain places of freedom. Until our bodies can no longer move, we will dance, because to dance is to resist."

We are proud to present the first solo outing on BONSE1, a 4-track EP from London-based Mailer.

With previous releases via Berlin’s Sine Language Records and a contribution to last year’s Fragment On Machines VA, ‘Dormant Season’ sees the producer continue to develop his intentional and restrained sonic palette.

Written after a period of personal upheaval, the EP exhibits Mailer’s expressive synthesis and drum programming, with icey, angular sound design casting wintery shadows across each track. Polyrhythms cascade around heavy atmospheres and deep sub bass, while the melodic leads give the record a sense of hope, hinting at brighter days ahead.

Utilising distinct sound design techniques, including the digital manipulation of numerous physical, naturalistic sound sources, the world created by these four tracks is one to get lost in. Built for introspection both on and off the dancefloor, we invite you to let these intricately built tracks unfurl around you, hopefully providing some light in these wintery days.

I decided at the beginning of the month that I was going to try to make as many tracks as I could that were inspired by horror movies or general horror type themes. I didn't get as many made as I  wanted. None-the-less, here are a few tracks I made over the month of October 2025. I am also including a previous track that fits the theme.
