My first outdoor event in 15 months was wonderful, I played a progressive into fullon psytrance set after sunset on Saturday night from 8:30pm to 10:00pm at the Psytribe, DaleCaliBr, and DesertRats Solstice party just outside of Los Angeles in SoCal on 6.19.21. First outdoor event since the state fully reopened.  Was a proper dancefloor and a real good time! The set went from 137 bpm to 142 bpm playing out of the progressive and techno from Willy Electronarcosis building up for the night into Quadra. My set from the Pulse SF stage at How Weird Street Faire in San Francisco, CA, on 9/12/21! Had a super awesome time playing the 4 pm slot at the weirdest street faire in the world! Definitely had a theme going with this set, a lot of it is modern remixes of classic full-on psytrance from the mid-2000s, or older tracks themselves. A few new ones, but the theme was to have super fun happy uplifting street fair full-on psytrance blasting! My set from the RS event at Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, California. Pretty amazing event! I played from 1:15 am to 2:30 am to a packed raging dancefloor at a planetarium. This set is full of classic progressive house as well as modern tunes from the underground to the above ground, whatever sounded good and whatever fit was fair game! Khromata - Broken Circuit (Psybreaks DJ set)

This is the debut episode of Vibrant Frequencies on Earth Dance Radio hosted by Khromata! The guest mix in the second hour of this episode is by the one and only Treavor Moontribe. 

Treavor Moontribe is one of the founders of the Los Angeles based “Moontribe Collective” and its legendary full moon desert gatherings. Since 1993, these events have been at the core of Southern California’s underground electronic music scene. Treavor established himself as one of the top Djs in LA thru these events and has since traveled the world from Brazil to Japan to Morocco, Portugal, Germany and all over North America. As a Dj it’s always been his diversity that’s set him apart from his peers. His love for music spans multiple genres and his DJing reflects this as he is just as known for Techno/Progressive as he is Psy Trance and various other forms of electronic music. In 2009 Treavor became the first American label DJ for Denmark based Iboga Records and released a compilation for them called Set9: Desert Selections.

Over the years Treavor has also established himself as a dynamic music producer having released music under several project names. His most notable project by far is Desert Dwellers. Along with his partners Amani Friend and Rara Avis, Desert Dwellers has released 5 full length chill out albums on White Swan Records as well as countless singles, EPs and remixes for labels like Six Degrees, Flow Records, Iboga Records and Desert Trax. After the success of their “Downtemple Dub” album series on White Swan, and playing shows at some of the USA’s most prolific festivals like Lightning In A Bottle, Wanderlust and Earthdance Northern California, the Desert Dwellers are now working on a new album as well as a downtempo compilation for Iboga Records.

Hey everyone! Here's my Spring 2016 Psytrance mix! It was a free-style on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I was inspired by the blossoming flora & burgeoning fauna in the backyard admiring the change in weather from winter to spring embodiment of rebirth and life... 

So, a few things you will notice about this mix. There's a lot of ASTRIX in it at the beginning, which I usually don't do that much of one artist but the new album He.art is so good, that these tracks simply must be played! This is as close as I'll get to mixing a whole tribute album mix haha, which is not my job, but this is a good representation!

Second, I didn't record it on my normal gear, and there's a slight hissing sound that is audible at some parts. If its too annoying let me know I'll sort something out but its definitely there, so apologies in advance.

In Buddhist mythology and Hindu mythology, a kinnara is a paradigmatic lover, a celestial musician, half-human and half-horse (India). In South-east Asia, two of the most beloved mythological characters are the benevolent half-human, half-bird creatures known as the Kinnara and Kinnari, which are believed to come from the Himalayas and often watch over the well-being of humans in times of trouble or danger. Their character is clarified in the Adi parva of the Mahabharata, where they say:

We are everlasting lover and beloved. We never separate. We are eternally husband and wife; never do we become mother and father. No offspring is seen in our lap. We are lover and beloved ever-embracing. In between us we do not permit any third creature demanding affection. Our life is a life of perpetual pleasure.

In Southeast Asian mythology, Kinnaris, the female counterpart of Kinnaras, are depicted as half-bird, half-woman creatures. One of the many creatures that inhabit the mythical Himavanta. Kinnaris have the head, torso, and arms of a woman and the wings, tail and feet of a swan. She is renowned for her dance, song and poetry, and is a traditional symbol of feminine beauty, grace and accomplishment.

Greetings! It's been a few years since my last Apson mix, a series of mixes of psychedelic dub/bass music, so I am very glad to finally present to you the 6th installment, Apson Awakening. 

These mixes are inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. 

This mix wasn't even intended to be released, I was having an afternoon DJ session and hit record on the DJM-350, but I was happy enough with the results and thought it should be the 6th mix in the Apson series.

I've been playing an increasing amount of midtempo into psybreaks sets this year, (Coexist, Symbiosis D-Nox party, The Untz Festival, etc.)but this time I went into ... well, just listen and see, some uptempo surprises--I hope you enjoy! It's from the heart!

This is a studio recreation psydub/psystep/psychedelic midtempo set from Star Camp Shasta that I played Saturday morning at the Booty  Chakra stage, but with all the unreleased taken out, so its not EXACTLY what I played but its still great, and inspired by that set--sometimes you just have to be there :). Some of my old favorite tracks from over the years and recent times all in here. I had an absolute blast playing!

Hey everyone :) This is a live recording of my DJ set I played at Friends and Family (FnF) campout in Northern California. It was their 21st edition and a very special gathering, I had such a wonderful time and am very grateful to have been invited to share that experience with such awesome people! 

I had no idea going into this set how it would be received, and it went down very well, thank you all for your kind words and for dancing. I am humbled and honored.

Khromata - Opening set for Liquid Soul recorded live in San Francisco 6/15/18

Greetings :) This is my set recorded live by the Ozora Festival organization at Ozora - 4 Days in California. It was such a high vibe and energetic crowd, and there's nothing I love more than playing a proper daytime progressive set to such a dancefloor! There were some technical issues with the mixer, it would keep cutting out (and scare the crap out of me lol), and you can hear it in the recording sometimes. I had an amazing time playing before Atmos, thanks to Ozora Festival for having me play their inaugural U.S event, was an honor!

When I made this mix I could envision these Apsons dancing sensually through dubby fractal space goddess palaces floating in the sky....hence the name :)
