Es begann mit Füchsen, die bekanntlich keine Rudeltiere sind - dennoch wurden - und endete in mehreren Hektar Pizza (u.a. vegan).

Diverse Dankschöne an diverse Leutchen, Kollektive und Bühnenkonstrukeurist*innen - hab selten auf einer so schönen Bühne spielen dürfen - Gracias!

With little time to waste, Crossfrontier Audio are making a raucous start to 2016, from Danito & Athina to MUUI, and coming out through the other side we’ve got a brand new debut release from Kris Davis.

Being no stranger to producing big tracks that have landed him on respected labels like Subjekt, Connaisseur and Save Us, and loving his work on mammoth remixes Snowflake and Wasted last year, continuing deeper into this bliss, UK based Kris Davis takes the helm to deliver his trademark sound, and crafted straight from the studio are freshly effervescent and colourful tracks to indulge upon for his debut with Crossfrontier Audio... the Interlude EP.

Transcending time and place with his emotionally charged productions, both clever in their concoctions, we get two original works on the EP - Interlude and China, from analog symphonies to pacing rhythm, each has a unique path carved out for itself, whether it’s the sophisticated and driven high of Interlude, or the heavy hypnotic euphoria that blitzes its way through China, the output on these from the dance-floor to the airwaves has been noteworthy.

To celebrate Kris Davis’s debut on Crossfrontier Audio, two of the label’s much loved staples have adapted the originals. Reacting to the energy, and pouring in his own essence, label boss Marc Poppcke’s remix of Interlude adds a drop of tentative darkness and depth to an already dangerous killer. While ricocheting through China with a melodious touch, Yoram gives us a lightshow for the synapses... firing on all cylinders.  

With far more coming up on the label, from our home in Berlin to the dance-floors of the world, now is a better time than ever to catch our sound, due to hit stores 7th March-  the Interlude EP will be released on Crossfrontier Audio, for more information hit us up at contact@crossfrontier-audio.com.

Wild.Thirteen I013I Doob & Janoma

Somewhere, way up there in a galaxy far, far away, there was a boy floating around in space.
This boy’s head was filled with sounds so trippy, so unique and so melancholic - that when an idea came, it was unlike anything you’d ever heard before. The boy’s ears were filled with endless amounts of recycled stardust - so that whenever he put on his headphones to make music, everything he created sounded like heaven. And the boy’s mind was constantly buzzing with impulses - so that whenever he expressed himself, they came pouring out of him in the form of sublime music. To us, he is known as Ninze.
Ninze is multi-faceted, yet utterly recognisable in his style. Having first taken the music scene by storm with unique productions and famously slo-ow DJ sets alongside his 2nd half Okaxy, he has since evolved as a solo artist as well as a member of the production- and live performance trio Wide Awake. 
No matter what he does, you can always hear it: that distinct sound that makes your knees feel like jelly and your thoughts like cloudy shadows. It’s a vibe that transports you to a place in your mind, something in between diving into trippy underwater melancholia and shooting up into deep cosmic space.
It’s only fitting then that our next podcast is a live set recorded specially for the Urban Cosmic Universe. If you listen closely, you’ll notice the little shooting stars, pulling you deeper and deeper into a world you can lose yourself in with ease. 
So finally, to quote the man himself: “roll it up, light it up, press play”*

Ki is the Japanese word for tree

"And like a tree the so titled label struck it’s roots deep into the soil of electronic Music"

Since 2009 Ki build up a solid stem of international artists that grew along the way since the Label’s start. Ki Releases are diverse in sound and genre, but related in quality. It’s not Ki’s thing to stick to one direction.

Most of the Label's musicians are somewhat involved in many disciplines of art. From the smallest detail in production, to the whole package - each Release is a piece of art throughout. And because fine art looks best on a proper sized canvas of 12“, Ki releases it’s music primarily on Vinyl. To look at, feel, listen to and love.
