Aoifes Antics - The Way We Are Now

A selection of pieces I produced for Clare FM's Morning Focus. The first is one where I went to meet Dave Hegarty in his reed making workshop to find out about his uilleann pipe making skills. Dave has been involved in uilleann pipe making for the last 30 years. 

The second is a piece where I meet some of the people that have come from near and far to enjoy and experience some of what Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy has to offer. 

And finally, the third piece is Ennis Fiddler Vincent McMahon and his class as they learn the fiddler during the Summer School.

For Clare FM's Morning Focus, I went to the first Christmas Tea Party for the elderly organised by Ennis Garda Station where I spoke to Sergeant Joe Downey about the event and those attending to hear some of their Christmas stories and memories.

I speak to two young surfers, David Olsthoorn and Donough Cronin about how they have taken surfing from at first being a hobby and now to being a big part of their lives.  The aim of my documentary is to show that a hobby you love can be taken seriously and turned into a career or lifestyle.
