Here’s a tune I wrote perhaps 2 years back and it has been laying in disarray on my laptop for all that time. I finally got some kind of creative burst to finish it and finalize the production. Life's Mistakes

This is a tune that David Stuart (Archimedes) and I collaborated on eons ago. It's a hoot and definitely quirky.  David's vox is wonderful. I hope you all enjoy it!

Don't Let Go

Here’s a tune that has been waiting for many years to be completed and now it has been. It features a wonderful vocal performance by Mark Blane aka https://soundcloud.com/soft-enerji  and a wildly exciting violin solo by Paul Patterson. I am truly a lucky cuss to have such good friends to help in the making of this tune. This is basically a reworking of a version I did maybe 3 years ago and I can safely say that it has improved dramatically with age!!! I hope you all enjoy the ride :)

Infatuation of the Light

Here is my remix of a tune by 10th Harmonic entitled “Pigmen”. My remix keeps closer to the original, although I do venture off road a bit - old habits I suppose! This version is sort of a Sondre meets Radiohead meets Indie Rock meets Bjork meets Sondre again - remix! I hope you enjoy it!!!

Angels We Have Heard on High

Here is another installment of my daughter’s fabulous singing. 

For those of you who know the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, you will recognize this tune. It is called Hushabye Mountain and is surely a favorite of many. Once again Becca laid all her vocal tracks in one take. Amazing right? 

I chose to make this a very spacious and hypnotic arrangement with a nice ambient slant. I hope you all enjoy this version and please leave comments if you so desire.

Mbira Magic

Every Holiday I try to come up with a tune that I can share with you all to help celebrate the season. This year I bring you a wonderful Collaboration!

After I listened to Myristica’s beautiful composition “Lost Without You”, I found myself hearing a merging of one of the great carols “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” with it. I asked Mei ( http://soundcloud.com/myristica ) if she would allow me to fit this carol into her tune, and she was tremendously receptive to the collaboration. 

This tune features Mei’s amazing tune with my oboe playing the carol. There are a few other wintery delights as well!!

Myristica - 'Lost Without You' (Kibeja's Christmas Rework).

This was an oboe part that I produced for a wonderful piece of music by A.S.M. - I took the oboe part and built the tune backwards from my usual musings. Melody first and then the rest in a sort of improvisational way. I hope you enjoy it and hopefully Tony(A.S.M.) will as well. It’s been a while and it’s good to post something new again.

Birds of Pray

This is a tribute to the movie "The Old Man and the Sea" based off of the book by Hemingway. The first time I saw that movie starring Spencer Tracy, I was a mere pup and I was mesmerized! The memory of that has stayed with me over the years. I haven’t seen it again until recently and it brought back a flood of memories for me. 

Anthony Quinn did a remake of it which, in my estimation, is a little more real in scope then the Hollywood-ized version with Tracy. For my little odd ambient tribute here, I use some voice dubs by Anthony Quinn that I found. I tried to convey that mood that one might have  being alone in a boat on a listless ocean waiting for something to happen.

Perhaps, deep reflection is the only solace to keep loneliness at bay. I hope you all enjoy this offering and do check out the movie if you get a chance. Please leave a comment if you so desire!

Between Worlds

Hi All,

I am trying to finish projects new and old. That said, here is a beauty from TTAATTOO that he asked me to work with. I added a prominent english horn part which is the instrument that I play in the Symphony here. I really have been wanting to feature it in a tune and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to have.
