There will be no ‘Boss’ talk here. The underside of the street has oozed from the depths that once contained it and it has refused to recede. The shadows cast upon the block by the glimmering structures that tower over the city’s heart have begun to consume its source. Slowly making its way to the top floors, the once undaunted executive attempts to flee before being swallowed up by the fervor that is consuming the base. Yet, he has nowhere to run, for he has already climbed the ladder to the top and now his journey can only lead down. Those who rise-up burn the ink dyed parchment that litters the desktops and sign their name in ashes mixed with blood and sweat. Prepare for “Signature Time”.

Scored by the SP1200 Titan’s: Gensu Dean and Drumz & Llingo. KicDrum Products introduces their most recent 7’ series release, Signature Time (Tip it Back part II), the A-side produced by the Grand Imperial Gensu Dean--who's most recent work includes a long awaited link up with underground vet Planet Asia on their new Abrasions LP--on Mello Music Group. The incredibly hard and funky beat features the acrobatic flow and lyrical styling’s of Drumz & Llingo’s Llingo Apt and introduces a new talent to the KDP team, Baltimore’s verbal assassin Kenobi (the newest member of the KDP family). The triple threat of “Signature Time” is anchored by the “north Philly street mangler” himself, Walt Sicknin’ who’s microphone prowess electrifies the track and begs for a re-wind.

The B-side “Chamber Crack” (Sewer Mix) produced by Drumz & Llingo is an extremely dirty, grimy track that feels like it was actually created and recorded under North Broad St., although we can’t be sure. Walt Sicknin’s original flow and unparalleled storytelling ability make “Chamber Crack” one of those tracks that remind you when hip-hop sounded like the blocks it came from. The modern day soundtrack to the North Philadelphia streets is being fleshed out right here on wax. This solo effort puts on notice all rappers who rep the street but whose product appeals to the club. Most will not be shaking their ass to “Chamber Crack”, they will be shaking in their boots. "Ill Delta the record sits at a crossroads of jazz, experimental electronic and video game music. Ill Delta the band is a local Philly trio of musicians who are clearly on the same wavelength when it comes to playing together. We saw their chemistry in a Brighton Sound Session they recorded over a year ago (revisit that video here), and that tightness carries over into the EP they released last month (via bandcamp).

The ill Delta EP is a creative and fun take on fusion jazz compositions. On “Bubba’s Paradise” in particular, there are synth tones that sound just like the bubbling sound effects found in Super Mario.  In fact, the entire EP trajectory feels like a journey through a magical video game story, each track representing a new level or stage.  In this sense ill Delta is reminiscent of Alvin Band‘s Rainbow Road experiment, but in a sonic sense the band takes a much more Medeski Martin & Wood approach (though “Muzzle Loader” gets pretty trippy midway through)."

Drumz & Llingo’s production goes turnpike for this East/West Pennsylvania collaboration. The KicDrum Products beat team known for their unique SP-1200 production and hard, grimy underground sound, solidified their fast growing reputation as Philly’s go-to-production-duo on KDP’s latest Silver Seven Series™ release “Bar Buryin”,featuring two of Pittsburgh’s finest Jon Quest and Hubbs.

With terribly mean bass and drums that hit harder than a Mike Tyson hook, Llingo and Drumat!c have created a beat that is a legitimate head-banger, and could be the roughest track of the year. The Philly duo is consistent in their rugged approach to beat making and Bar Buryin’ does nothing but exemplify both their sound and style.

KDP Worldwide is at it again with this talented pairing of production team members—Oath of Perth, (AUS). and Drumat!c (aka Drumz) of Philadelphia (USA).

Together they are O.D. or simply 'OD'. And to bring in the U.S. spring/summer and Australian autumn/winter of 2019, we present to you the collaborative result 'titled' OD: Resonance.

Many nights and days were spent placing the utmost care and focus into this latest KDP release... over 1000+ hours of dedicated time to be exact! From the final mix and mastering process of the audio (each with unique versions for the tape/digital and vinyl editions), to the meticulous artwork with assembled-by-hand package design, which has even more subtle details such as the Kicdrum Products label logo laser etched into the limited cassette tape cases—there was not a single moment where 'good' was 'good enough'. (We hope you too see and hear this in the project.)

Utilising nothing more than our SP1200 samplers, tape reel, a multi track recorder, various processing racks, a handful of DS/DD floppy disks—neck breaking drum breaks—and a plethora of dusty samples selected from our vaults of obscure rarities… the end result is one we are extremely proud to present to you!
