– kickupaFuss, aka The Fuss.

The group came together as haphazardly as the name itself. Comprised of childhood friends and previous bandmates, kickupaFuss found and formed a comradery that easily and immediately translated into creating music. It was once written about kickupaFuss “…I can honestly say that you could feel the love between these friends and that to call them genuine and carefree would be an understatement”. This sentiment can be applied to their music as well – honesty, fun, love and inhibition are projected through the songs with purpose and vigor. To choose a genre to fit kickupaFuss into would be a fallacy – rock and roll, funk, dance and fusion are in every band member’s vocabulary. An oft repeated mantra in their derelict jam space is; “to make ‘em dance is to have succeeded”.

Empirically, kickupaFuss has made a name for themselves in the Edmonton music scene as one of the most exciting and energetic live shows to see. Known to swing from ceilings, gyrate hips, feature artists and don birthday suits, no one leaves a kickupaFuss gig without a talking point. The boys take pride in their live show and providing an experience apart from typical – no Fuss show is the same.

With their first full length album, “Fuss”, set to release in January 2014, the band will continue spreading their brand. The high energy album will be followed up with their first acoustic album – suffice to say there will be plenty of Fuss to go around.
