One year on since the first installment, the mighty Hot Creations turn up the heat as they get set to unleash ‘Hot Summer Jams 2’, featuring eight exclusive tracks from familiar faces and blossoming new talents.

The first half of the v/a welcomes back some favourite artists with the first track coming from label head and main man himself Jamie Jones, hot off the heels of some far reaching releases as Hot Natured and solo anthems. He delivers the storming future anthem, ‘Danger Mouse’. Next up Suara boss Coyu delivers ‘The Cat’ featuring the stunning vocals of Cari Golden. On an old school tip, New Yorker MANIK hits us with ‘Freak Your House feat. MC Kew G’ followed by a dance ready track from Alexis Raphael, who had his first track signed to Hot Waves back in 2011.

Dynamic duo Leftwing & Kody make their first appearance on the label as they team up with Cera Alba to deliver the heavy duty ‘I Got One Way’. Newcomers David Glass & CDC, Sean Branton and Neil Parkes also make their debuts on the label with serious impact. Bubbling with groove and energy, each of the tracks hold superior dance floor magic, road tested worldwide by the Hot Creations crew this summer, they are essential ammunition.

Co-founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations has been going from strength to strength since it’s creation in 2010, releasing a comprehensive catalogue of music from well known artists and breaking new talents who have gone on to be some of the biggest names in the industry today.

2015 has seen a wealth of new productions from Jamie Jones including a collaboration with Kate Simko and the London Electronic Orchestra on his new label Emerald City, followed by another huge hit from his band Hot Natured plus the release of ‘Siberian Express’, recently named Essential New Tune.

<p>MAAE comes at you with three attacks, and the title track is a stomping affair, complete with sounds nodding to the old school, streamlined synthesizers and a militant stab that clears everything in its way.&nbsp; &#8220;Right Code&#8221; takes a more subliminal route as mutating pads and ethereal vocals shift to center stage, while the steamrolling drums propel things to the next level.&nbsp; The EP closes with the even more esoteric &#8220;Take Your Bag&#8221;, where looped-out bleeps and dark, melodic overtones all come together to form a spooky vibe with the distressed synths barely being contained in the production confines.</p>

-How long have you been creating music?
I've been producing since I was 14 years old. Started with Hip-Hop then moved on to House & Techno 2 years ago.

-What do you use to make your tracks?
FL Studio with too many VST plugins to count. Looking to get into analog synths soon.

-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
I discovered Dirtybird in 2016 on youtube but really started to love the style of music in 2018.

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Eats Everything, Riva Starr, Sage Armstrong & Claude Vonstroke. They're all very much my style with heavy, groovy basslines. Specially Eats Everything. I’ve also really been liking Black V Neck lately.

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
I'd say 127 Hours. Everything in life takes courage and that movie depicts this idea perfectly for me.

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Travis Scott's Astroworld Tour 2018. Been a huge fan of his since 2012.

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
I'd definitely travel back 4,000 years to Egypt. Ancient civilizations fascinate me.

-What species of bird best describes you and why?
A Crow. Always learning and adapting.

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
To me, Dirtybird is a label that has one of most unique sounds. It’s music that'll bring out the good vibes in you no matter who you are. It’s funky, it’s weird and not afraid to step outside the box. I think that’s where this label shines the most.
