Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

Hannah Wants unveils Ghetto EP on DFTD, a return to her edgier, bass-heavy roots with two distinct tracks designed for the club. Hannah’s trajectory throughout 2023 was signposted by performances at flagship events including Defected Croatia, Defected’s Australasian Tour and The Warehouse Project. In 2024, her collaboration with Sam Divine and Jem Cooke, ‘Cruel Intentions’, kicked off the year before Hannah appeared on the ambitious livestream celebrating 25 years of Defected with 25 titan DJs playing B2B in 2024. After a string of releases showcasing her more emotive side on the London house label, Hannah Wants now returns to the bass house sound she helmed for over a decade, releasing Ghetto EP on sister label DFTD. The first of two deeper, headsier cuts, ‘Ghetto’ offers relentless club energy, with deep, percussive synths that hammer away underneath expressive audio sampling. ‘Let The Beat Talk’ follows, featuring frequent Plump Records collaborator Baby Luck on cool vocals, with its hard and tough sound shaking the floor as high frequency synths bubble overhead.

That moment of the year has arrived again and this August, elrow Music is bringing its staple compilation for summer: VA Off Ibiza 2019! This time with a staggering 10 track list, with some of the best and most promising artists in the scene, elrow Music has upped up the ante with this amazing collection of songs. Names as DJ Fronter, Manu Gonzalez and Shaf Husee, Miguel Lobo or Anabel Sigel are just a few examples of the huge talent we have scouted for you, our dearest crowd! Opening up this 2019 instalation of our Off Ibiza compilation, we have our good friends Alaia & Gallo with their 'Check It Out (Original Mix)', a true tech-house affair, with a nice vibe to open up with positive energies. Later on, we have DJ Fronter's 'Chitown (Original Mix)', which change the vibe completely, slowing down and demonstrating with his staple minimalism, that things can be done in a different way in this genre.

Just after it, we have Manu Gonzalez & Shaf Huse's 'Yollow (Original Mix)', in which the team manages to create a progressive and deep vibe throughout the track, breaking into a total soulful madness thanks to those great female vocals, FX and melody treatment. Then, another big Spanish promise, Miguel Lobo, steps up with his 'Change Position (Original Mix)', a track that brings us back to the early 90s progressive sounds, with some acid treatment and a sexy vocal that sets the mood of the track. Finally, closing the comp, we have Anabel Sigel's 'Miss Wallace (Original Mix)', a track in which the Spanish newfound jewel unleashes all her production skills into a real banger, taking her time to build momentum in the track, with great care for detail overall.

Definitely Guille & George are having their momentum: it started with 'What A Bam' late 2017, in 2018 they released in great labels like Sola, Glasgow Underground or Superfett among others and this year they did it again with 'The Sonic Busters'. Also they are managing La Pera Records, one of the most successful Spanish labels and both are touring around the world as Djs. 

Now is time for their brand new EP on elrow music and we are really excited for this. 'Cha Cha Cha' is pure Placencia & Privatti sound: awesome groove, well-chosen vocal sample and really effective breakdowns, 100%% dancefloor killer track. Industry heavyweights Yousef, Alan Fitzpatrick and Avision team up for an astounding 2 track EP on Yousef’s Circus Recordings

The EP opens up with the dancefloor-destroying title track. A steady, up-tempo and commanding drum pattern builds the energy along with subtle synths that work their way around the rhythm. Enigmatic vocal samples flicker into the mix with high-octane echoing synth stabs cascading in halfway through, taking the track to dizzying heights.

With releases on respected labels including Elrow, Snatch, Circus, 8bit, Toolroom Trax and of course his own label, Under No Illusion, this talented DJ / producer is showing no signs of slowing down. The 'Inhale' EP showcases Ki's signature sound; percolating rhythms, crisp and energetic percussion, playful rise and fall basslines, hip swinging claps and vocal chants that ebb and flow throughout the compositions.
