I wrote this piece in hopes of drawing attention to a particular self-given privilege style of sovereignty (which still exists in today's society), that it will force conversation and bring to face this demeaning way of rule and self-given authority. History has been written but the future can definitely be improved. Presenting the observation in such a way that it allows people to reflect and soul-search to look for and come up with solutions in our society. Privilege can only exist if we allow it.
